BROADWAY'S GOT GUTS The fourth annual spectacular evening of wonderful entertainment by Broadway's brightest will sing the wonderful standards and hits sung by the late, great Nancy LaMott on the 23rd anniversary of her death, to benefit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.

Following their last sold-out concert A View of the River at 54 Below/Feinstein's, the songwriting team of Will Van Dyke and Jeff Talbott are hosting Tony Award winner Annaleigh Ashford, Tony nominees Kate Baldwin and Orfeh, and a starry list of other top-notch Broadway performers in a concert called Crazy Rainbow Days: New Songs by Will Van Dyke & Jeff Talbott at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 28th. The evening will feature never-before-heard songs from Van Dyke and Talbott's musicals, as well as several all-new songs created exclusively for the evening.

Get ready for movie night on Broadway! The latest flick to get the Broadway treatment is the 1990 hit rom-com PRETTY WOMAN. The musical is shaping up to be popular at the box office, seems to be the current standout for the 2018-2019 Broadway season so far. It joins the ranks of a bevy of musicals that have been adapted from films, like Mean Girls, Frozen, The Band's Visit, the forthcoming KING KONG, to name a few. PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL recently opened on at the Nederlander Theatre, and Atlantic Records just released the original Broadway cast recording last week. Give it a listen here!

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Atlantic Records will release 'PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL (ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST RECORDING) tomorrow, September 21. Physical CD editions of 'PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL (ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST RECORDING)' arrive in stores nationwide on Friday, October 26.

Musical theatre composer/lyricist, Michael Mott, will return to Feinstein's/54 Below in Michael Mott & Friends today, September 7 at 9:30 pm. Mott was last seen at Feinstein's/ 54 Below with a two night sold out concert run of his original musical, In The Light.

If you could turn back the clock to see just one original Broadway cast in action, which show would you choose? Would it be an old-timey classic or just a personal favorite?

Having had the opportunity to meet Drama Desk Award Winning actor, Chesney Snow, during his run of IN TRANSIT and maintaining a connection to his artistry, have both been an absolute honor and pleasure. And at that time, Mr. Snow began the process of bringing his autobiographical choreopoem, UNWRITTEN LAW, to life at Dixon Place. Since then, Chesney has been performing, teaching, and writing all over the world.

It is official that the Broadway Theater Season has begun. Head Over Heels, Pretty Woman, and Getting The Band Back Together, are the musicals kicking off the summer. I recently had a chance to sit with Brandon Williams from Getting the Band Back Together. He makes his Broadway debut playing the show's Bad Boy. 

With an innocuous book more focused on moving to plot points than creating interesting leading characters and a platitude-heavy score that tends to linger on moments instead of expanding on them, PRETTY WOMAN, based on the hit 1990 film, is the blandest musical to hit Broadway in recent memory.

Last night, the gang over at Pretty Woman celebrated their opening night. As per Broadway tradition, representatives from Actors Equity were on hand to award the Legacy Robe to the ensemble member with the most Broadway credits.

The Nederlander Theatre was the place to be last night, as a pretty magical opening unfolded for Broadway's newest musical, PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL. Starring Broadway regulars like Andy Karl, Orfeh, Jason Danieley, and Eric Anderson, the musical marks the Broadway debut of a new leading lady, Samantha Barks.
