36th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS Announces Selectees & Finalists

National Alliance for Musical Theatre has revealed the roster of new musicals for their 36th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which is slated to take place on Thursday, October 24 and Friday, October 25, 2024, at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

Rehearsals are underway for the Warner’s production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s electrifying musical, School of Rock, running August 2nd through the 11th in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre at the Warner Theatre in Torrington, CT.

Performa/Dance Will Perform PIVOT This August

In its 10th season, Performa/Dance will present a stacked quadruple bill: the world premiere of FINDING ALICE (IN WONDERLAND), a whimsical, meta take on Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, rising NYC-based choreographer Christian Warner’s WHITE HOT ROOM, and new works by award-winning Austin favorites BLiPSWiTCH and Alexa Capareda.

Review: CATS THE MUSICAL at Stage West At The Lights

Cats, composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, is a groundbreaking work in musical theatre, premiering in London’s West End in 1981 and on Broadway in 1982. Based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, the musical revolves around the Jellicle cats, who gather annually at the Jellicle Ball where one cat is chosen to ascend to the Heaviside Layer and be reborn.

Jason Charles Miller to Release New Album 'Knives In The Dark' in August
