David Michael Frank, who has gone viral on TikTok for his rock versions of songs such as My Heart Will Go On, Into The Unknown, All By Myself and more, has just released a full version of his rendition of The Phantom of the Opera!

Taylor Louderman (Tony nominee, Mean Girls) and the Write Out Loud team - Ben Rauhala, Hannah Kloepfer, Sarah Glugatch, Josh Collopy- have teamed up for the third annual Write Out Loud songwriting contest, a celebration of new musical theatre writers.

As the curtains open in Orange County for live-theatre, Kyle Stafford, Founder of The Act One Project, announces the opening for in-person theatre produced by his theatre company. In September 2021, the first live show by The Act One Project will start rehearsals.

Write Out Loud has announced an exciting panel of adjudicators for this year’s contest! Jay Adana (The Woodsman), Brandon “Blue” Hamilton (Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never), Tom Kitt (Next To Normal), Joriah Kwamé (Little Miss Perfect), Andrew Lippa (Big Fish, The Addams Family), and more!

This month, Blueprint: A New Musical is releasing their Original Cast Recording, created and composed by CCM Musical Theatre alumni Matt Copley. The musical, first workshopped at CCM, has gotten attention from numerous Broadway stars including Taylor Louderman.

Matt Copley, who graduated from the BFA Musical Theatre program at CCM this spring, conceptualized and wrote an original musical during his senior year.

Live from The Reservoir Room this week, FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE will showcase our two Saturday Night performers Rai Thistlethwayte and Catherine Alcorn (on top of her hosting duties) who will also be joined by special guests Richard Wilkins, his son Christian Wilkins, Matt Lee, Mia Morrissey and Tom Campbell and other surprise guests to be confirmed.

The WRITE OUT LOUD team will present a VIRTUAL JAM, celebrating the 2020 contest winners and finalists, hosted by Taylor Louderman on Friday, June 26th at 6PM EST.
