The CW drama series RIVERDALE is set to air the season three musical episode this Wednesday. The episode will feature a staging of Heathers: The Musical, based on the 1989 cult hit film starring Wynona Ryder and Christian Slater.
The Jane Elissa Extravaganza: An Intimate Evening with Broadway and Daytime Stars will celebrate its 31st anniversary on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Manhattan's Marriott Marquis Hotel. The event benefits the Jane Elissa Endowment Fund for Leukemia/Lymphoma Research, as well as Cancer research, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, and other charitable causes. Gina Gershon (Bound) and newcomer Trinity Likins have been set for recurring roles as Gladys Jones and Jellybean 'JB' Jones, respectively. They will debut on Riverdale during the Wednesday, December 12, 2018, episode at 8/7c on The CW.

Following a well-received Sarasota Festival of New Plays this past spring, Florida Studio Theatre (FST) announces an addition to its New Play Development program. Three new works will be staged throughout the month of August featuring some of the latest work by George Brant, Barry Harman and Keith Herrmann, and Sandy Rustin. "Good comedies with exciting stories are hard to find and we have found three well-crafted tales from various eras, points of view, and comedic angles," shared FST Associate Artist Catherine Randazzo. Talkbacks will follow each reading, giving audiences the chance to engage with each piece more deeply, while also giving playwrights valuable feedback. These readings are free and open to the public, though reservations are required.
