What did our critic think of THE SWEET DELILAH SWIM CLUB at Theatre Three?

Theatre Palisades Will Presents 'The Sweet Delilah Swim Club' by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten from November 4 - December 11, 2022.

Rehearsals will begin shortly for Pigs Do Fly Productions' production of the Jones, Hope, Wooten comedy, The Savannah Sipping Society.  The show will run from November 4th through November 20th at Empire Stage in Fort Lauderdale.

West Coast Players will present Honky Tonk Hissy Fit by Jamie Wooten, Jessie Jones, and Nicholas Hope, directed by Susan Demers.

ShenanArts is set to hold auditions for The Savannah Sipping Society, a comedic play by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten. The show is to be directed by Anne Teetzsch Fitzgerald. The performances are scheduled for March 31st through April 3rd. Auditions are going to be held on Tuesday, February 8th from 6-9pm at ShenanArts, 300 Churchville Avenue, Staunton, VA 24401. 

The production will run from March 18th through April 10, 2022 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7.30pm and Sundays at 2pm. There will be a Pay What You Will performance on Thursday April 7 at 7.30pm For tickets, go to www.adobetheater.org or call 505-898-9222.

The sisters of Winedale are at a crossroads. Fanny has a odd reaction to her 60th birthday. Willa is stressed to the point of vodka and speed-knitting. Johnnie Faye is determined to put her put herself back on the market and find a man. (Preferably one with a house since hers is at the bottom of a Florida sinkhole).

The Savannah Sipping Society is Hanover Little Theatre’s first live show in almost two years, and it is well worth the wait. It is also the perfect show for these times—many of us have faced uncertainty, loss, and the struggle of rediscovering who we are and who we want to be—difficulties the characters in this show face with much humor and grace.

After 16 months without any live performances, Greenville Theatre is reopening with the hilarious and touching comedy The Dixie Swim Club.

The Naples Players opened their doors again on April 28th with Calendar Girls in Blackburn Hall and An Ideal Husband on May 19th in their Tobye Studio Theatre. 

Theatre Tuscaloosa's next virtual offering for its 2020-21 Spreading Joy Season will be a presentation of its 2012 production of The Sweet Delilah Swim Club (formerly titled The Dixie Swim Club) by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten, available April 16-18.
