Coming up this month at the Flat Rock Playhouse, the 2018 season continues to fill the stage with comedy, wit, and feel-good entertainment with Always a Bridesmaid. Celebrating the success of the 2017 production of The Dixie Swim Club, Flat Rock Playhouse will bring audiences another comedic hit from the same writing team: Jamie Wooten, Jessie Jones, and Nicholas Hope. Always a Bridesmaid tells the story of four high school friends who promise to be in each other's weddings while they enjoy their Senior Prom.

Doublewide, Texas, written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope & Jamie Wooten, and directed by Kelliey Chavez will run at SCT August 24-26, 30-September 2, & 6-8, 2018.

Hill Country Community Theatre announces its 2012-19 season.  Featuring five productions, the season includes the musical comedy "Don't Hug Me, I'm Pregnant," a holiday comedy "Sorry! Wrong! Chimney!" the thriller/comedy "Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery," the comedy "Doublewide, Texas", and musical "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels".  This marks HCCT's 33rd year.

The Dio knows a good one when it reads it which is why it has presented Jones, Hope and Wooten's The Dixie Swim Club, Always a Bridesmaid and now, through July 22, The Savannah Sipping Society (SSS).

Back by popular demand after a sold-out run last season is The Savannah Sipping Society playing at The Off Broadway Palm now through July 22, 2018. The Savannah Sipping Society is a laugh-a-minute comedy from playwriting trio Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten. The three have authored numerous comedies including the hit The Dixie Swim Club.

'The Red Velvet Cake War' captures all of the drama and love found in family get togethers. No matter what side of the Mason-Dixon line you are from. The charm of the play is its hodgepodge of southern sweetness, sass and shenanigans. It is a silly, lighthearted play, seasoned like a southern sitcom set in good ol' Sweetgum Texas.

Come fly with CAT Theatre in this 1960 French farce adapted for the English-speaking stage that features self-styled Parisian lothario Bernard, who has Italian, German, and American fiancees, each a beautiful airline hostess with frequent "layovers." He keeps "one up, one down, and one pending" until unexpected schedule changes bring all three to Paris, and Bernard's apartment, at the same time.
