Musicals at Richter (MAR), celebrating its 34th season as the longest-running outdoor theater in Connecticut, kicks off the summer with 'Legally Blonde,' the effervescent and wildly upbeat musical based on the popular 2001 film comedy starring Reese Witherspoon. Staged on the grounds of the Richter Arts Center in Danbury, performances take place outdoors under the stars Friday through Sunday evenings at 8:00 p.m., with additional specially discounted performances on Thursday, July 5 and 12. There is no show on Friday, July 13.

OMG! You mean, like, Elle Woods isn't from the San Fernando Valley, but from Malibu? Wow! And- she not only attended college locally but got into Harvard Law School? May seem a bit far-fetched or too hard to swallow, but it doesn't matter, because once you've seen Elle in action, she's irresistible: a cross between Goldie Hawn, Glinda from Wicked and a splash of Mary Poppins thrown in for good measure. You're gonna love her, guys, in this grande spanking, freshly blossomed pink rosebud of a show. If you liked Reese Witherspoon, you will adore perky, gorgeous Callandra Olivia and everyone else in the fantastically sugar-coated romp Legally Blonde The Musical currently onstage at Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theatre.

'Omigod You Guys!', Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin's 2007 musical adaption of the hit 2001 comedy film starring Reese Witherspoon is in Brighton as part of its second UK tour since the West End production closed in 2012.

Season 18 at New Village Arts is a celebration of the diversity of our community.  With six mainstage productions, NVA has created an eclectic season of adventurous artistic experiences. For the third season in a row, NVA has parity between its male and female playwrights and has continued its commitment to open casting. We believe that representation on stage is incredibly important, and strive to make our casts as diverse as possible.  Teatro Pueblo Nuevo will continue for its second year, and the season includes two San Diego Premieres, one West Coast Premiere, and one World Premiere adaptation. There is something for everyone in this season, and we can't wait to share it with you!

EastEnders' Rita Simon, Lucie Jones, who represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest with 'Never Give Up On You', and Bill Ward, star of Coronation Street and Emmerdale star in a major new tour of the smash-hit Broadway and West End musical Legally Blonde The Musical. Broadway Method Academy, Fairfield County's premier musical theater training program, opened a re-imagined production of Legally Blonde last night to rave reviews. Broadway actors, Julius Anthony Rubio & Allysa Shorte staged the production.

Based on the hit movie, Legally Blonde The Musical is a fresh and effervescent evening of musical fun, stylishly wrapped up in a smart pink bow! Elle Woods is the college sweetheart and homecoming queen who doesn't take no for an answer. So when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her for someone 'serious', Elle puts down the credit cards, hits the books, and heads for Harvard Law School.
