World Stage Theatre Company will present the musical FAME JR., featuring a book by José Fernandez, lyrics by Jacques Levy, and music by Steve Margoshes, developed by David De Silva.

Reviewing the revered LES MISERABLES is always a mixed bag. The show, running Jan. 27–Feb. 1 at the Ohio Theatre (39 E. State Street, downtown Columbus), is a towering piece of musical theater history. It has a cadre of powerful songs (“Do You Hear The People Sing?,” “I Dreamed a Dream,” and “One More Day” … that’s just in the first act), and characters that linger with you long after the curtain falls.

This December, Tulsa audiences will experience something never before seen in American theatre. Black Broadway Tulsa will present what is believed to be the first all Black cast production of A Christmas Story: The Play.

Broadway veteran Taye Diggs is now in his final three weeks of performances as “The Duke of Monroth” in the Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Diggs performs through Sunday, September 28th with David Harris returning to the role on Tuesday, September 30th. Harris originated “The Duke of Monroth” in the Moulin Rouge! The Musical North American Tour and made his debut in the show on Broadway.

For all its clashing parts, like an overstuffed jewelry box where diamonds, pearls, and plastic trinkets jangle together, MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL’s visuals are hard to resist, and that’s what most audiences will respond to. It sparkles wonderfully even when it confuses.

A new musical film is on the horizon starring Joel McHale, Paula Patton, and Yonas Kibreab. Composer Mateo Messina is set to direct the feature, titled Reimagined, which is an adaptation of Jeff Witzke's symphony The Pageant.
