The Frank Silvera Writers Workshop kicks off its forty-seventh annual reading series this Monday September 9th at 7pm with David Davila's immigration drama, Aztec Pirates And The Insignificance Of Life On Mars. The reading, directed by Nilsa Reyna, features Ollie Corchado, Cory Alexander, Lillian Andrea De Leon, Julia Botero, Selina Michelle Fonseca, Gerard Lucero, Alexandra Castro, and Jatnna Marte.

 San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) and Amigos del REP announced today the lineup for the Third Annual San Diego REP Latinx New Play Festival at the Lyceum Space Theatre, August 30 to September 1, 2019.

Broadway's Ruby Rakos and Brian Charles Rooney will be joining David Davila as very special guest stars when Davila makes his triumphant return to the Beechman on Sept 16th at 7pm with a brand new show filled with new jams and old favorites from Davila's songbook. Joining them will be Jaime Cepero, Lillian Andrea de Leon, Charles Barksdale, Jackson Perrin, Ashley Mitchell, Delvonte' Rashawn Heart, Mark Andrew Garner, and Stephanie Nash. 

Six years after his first making his New York premiere David Davila will return to the Laurie Beechman Theatre to celebrate his vast songbook. The award-winning composer of Manuel Vs the Statue of Liberty, 52Songs, Vox Pop, and Promesa presents a host of new songs, and old favorites with his regular band of merry collaborators and Broadway guest stars!

A Little New Music will bring its entertaining showcase of emerging musical theatre talents to The Sorting Room's 2018 Summer Sessions at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m.  A Little New Music's audiences will discover brand new musical theatre songs firsthand before they land on Broadway or beyond.

FEAST: A Performance Series, curated and Produced by Alex Randrup and Conrad Kluck, presents their latest monthly show, FEAST: May. This performance takes place on Wednesday, May 2nd at 7pm at UNDER St. Marks Theater (94 St. Marks Place). Following the performance, the audience is invited to meet and mingle with the artists at The Grafton, with reserved tables and happy hour specials.

Lone Star Theatre Co is proud to present the fifth annual Texas One-Act Play Festival. This year's presentation is titled CROSSING BORDERS: A TEJANO ONE-ACT PLAY FESTIVAL and features five new plays by Tejano playwrights starring seven Latino actors.

LEGENDS OF TEXAS is part of the on-going Texas Reads series at Lone Star Theatre Co and developed through the Robert Askins Playwright Fellowship.Nancy, is a gun-reform activist in New York who has just inherited her father's gun shop in South Texas. When she returns to 'El Valle' to put his affairs in order and turn the gun shop into a cafe, she is met with opposition at every turn from her father's new wife, her gun-toting sister, and her ex-boyfriend who now manages it. What could possibly go wrong?
