Lone Star Theatre Co is proud to announce their upcoming 2016-2017 season, "Cinco de Lone Star." The season, which marks the fifth year that Lone Star Theatre has been bringing Texas pages to New York stages, will focus a great deal of its programming on Latino voices. The season features new works by Raquel Almazan, Oscar Cabrera, Mandy Murphy, Nilsa Reyna and more.

On Saturday, April 30, 2016, N'Kenge, vocal siren and Broadway Diva, is one of the premiere vocalists interpreting lyrics by Josh Kight, an emerging musical theatre composer, at the famous Feinstein's 54 Below (254 W. 54th Street (cellar); 11:30pm (doors @ 11:00pm)) in New York City.

LA's consistently popular concert series A LITTLE NEW MUSIC, featuring the latest new musical theater songs, returned on Tuesday, March 8, to another sold out house at Rockwell: Table & Stage with an exciting program of music from writers across the nation. Judith Leora's SHOWPONY will receive it's first staged reading tonight for Lone Star Theatre Co as part of their on-going Texas Reads series. When a diverse group of women are randomly thrown together, they quickly realize that their cultural training has put them directly in opposition to each other, whether as workhorses, show-ponies or race-horses. Will they figure out how to get past their assigned roles and see each other as people? 

De la Puente and Davila's MANUEL VERSUS THE STATUE OF LIBERTY, will get a 'rematch' tonight, February 20th at Princeton University! The New York Musical Theatre Festival's award-winning musical comedy about illegal immigration, will receive a workshop featuring student performers, along with members of the original New York cast.

Eddy Cavazos will step into the role of Manuel in the workshop of de la Puente and Davila's award-winning musicalMANUEL VERSUS THE STATUE OF LIBERTY when the curtain goes up tomorrow night at Princeton University. Cavazos, who had previously worked with Davila on ADAN Y JULIO, steps into the role as a last minute replacement for Gil Perez-Abraham whose film schedule made him unavailable at the final hour.

David Davila returned to the Laurie Beechman Theatre in Times Square with an all-star Broadway cast to present: DAVID DAVILA & THE MAGIC TIME MACHINE, a time travel song extravaganza that reflects on revisiting mistakes you shouldn't have repeated. Last night, December 18, the New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, presented an evening full of holiday cheer at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage with help from Tony award nominees Stephanie J. Lone Star Theatre Company is proud to announce the creation of the Robert Askins Playwright Fellowship. The Robert Askins Playwright Fellowship is a program created by award-winning playwright Robert Askins and Artistic Director David Davila, to give Texas playwrights living in New York City a home base to develop their new work. Each playwright will receive creative support from Lone Star Theatre Company through a tiered level of staged readings and developmental workshops in New York City, and will receive professional guidance from Askins and the Lone Star Theatre Co staff.

DeVernaand former NYMF board chair Martin Grant at its 2015 Gala to be held on Sunday, November 15th at the Edison Ballroom in Midtown Manhattan (240 W 47th St, New York, NY 10036)

No one is spared in this political comedy that pulls no punches about immigration reform and the American Dream.
