An unlikely bond forms between a bullied schoolboy and his mysterious new neighbor … one of whom has been young for a very long time. Based on the novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist, this supernatural coming-of-age love story touches the heart and makes it race, too.

The smash hit, musical comedy Be More Chill closes its sold-out Off-Broadway run on Sept. 30 and opens Sinclair Theatre's season October 5-13 in Blair Hall,building 2 of the downtown Dayton campus! Then, the off-Broadway production heads to a recently-announced BROADWAY opening in February 2019!

The Musical, written by award-winning FringeNYC show Young Olympians and the Most Amazingly Awesome Adventure Ever playwright, Sarah Shulman,with lyrics by Caitlyn Joy, and music by Callan Holderbaum. This encore presentation will run for a limited time before making its way to FringeNYC in October. SUPER! The Musical is one of only three theatre for young audience shows chosen for inclusion in the festival.

BWW Review: Double Bill ZARZUELAS by The In Series Misses the Mark

No matter the work, it is important to leave a theater feeling some sort of emotion. Any emotion will do, just as long as you were able to feel for the performance happening in front of you. Unfortunately, the double bill of zarzuelas produced by The In Series that opened Sunday night (playing at GALA Hispanic Theater) left minimal impact on the audience. Zarzuelas, or short Cuban operettas, take the operatic form and infuse it with the sounds of Cuba. The music throughout the evening is beautiful but almost none of the performances are nearly as beautiful or compelling as their source material.

Shrunken Shakespeare Company's Co-Founder and newly appointed Executive Director Yvonne Cone announced today that the well-known company is back after two and a half years with a brand new Board of Directors, and an all-new production. SSC's first production in this new outing as a not-for-profit will be William Shakespeare's Richard II, which will be the highlight of their 2018/2019 season. Dates and location will be announced at a later time.

Kennedy Center Announces American College Theater National Festival

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts more than 120 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which runs April 9-14, 2018 in multiple locations throughout the Center. The Center also announced the national awardees for the KCACTF.

Theo Ubique's SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET Extends By Three Weeks

Theo Ubique's SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET, originally scheduled to close on April 29, has been extended and will now run through Sunday, May 20. The production earned rave reviews and has been playing to sold-out audiences since its opening on March 12. Philip Torre, Jacquelyne Jones and most of the original cast will remain with the production for the extension. Performance schedules remain unchanged, with the musical playing Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 7 pm.  Tickets for the additional weeks are now on sale at www.theo-u.com.

Red House artist Charlie Parr releases his video for 'Dog' today from his Red House album of the same name and you can view it HERE on Youtube or on Apple Music. Shot on location in Parr's hometown of Duluth, Minnesota with a cast of locals and their dogs, the video was directed by Dan Huiting (Father John Misty, New Pornographers, Bon Iver).
