ANGEL'S BONE, by Du Yun with a libretto by Royce Vavrek was awarded the 2017 Pulitzer Prize in Music. The opera--a bold work that that integrates vocal and instrumental elements and a wide range of styles into a harrowing allegory for human trafficking in the modern world--debuted on January 6, 2016 at the Prototype Festival, 3LD Arts and Technology Center in New York.

The screwball comedy complete with disguises, surprises, and compromises, comes to life with an impressive cast of singers, many making their company debut under the leadership of conductor Corrado Rovaris, Opera Philadelphia's celebrated Jack Mulroney Music Director.

Diyo Boniface, a bilingual translator, teacher, and researcher, had completed his book 'Idyls at Sunday Creek' prior to his death in 1998: a gripping tale involving an American named McCormick who flees to a small West African village, Sangari, after his gubernatorial bid is under investigation by the FBI. There he makes his fortune and becomes involved in multiple love affairs.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) presents a grown up's prequel to Peter Pan, where a dozen actors play more than 100 unforgettable characters. An apprentice starcatcher (13 year-old Molly Aster) takes to the high seas with a trunk full of magic 'starstuff' and three orphan boys while being pursued by a boat-load of pirates. Peter and the Starcatcher was written by Rick Elice (Jersey Boys, Addams Family) with music by Wayne Barker. This adaptation is based on the 2006 novel of the same name by humorist Dave Barry and suspense writer Ridley Pearson.

Watching the Ohio State Department of Theatre's '7 Ways to Say I Love You' is, in many ways, similar to sorting through a box of valentines. The show, written by Adam Szymkowicz, comprises seven short stories dealing with the elusive concept of love.
