Not just one but two films featuring controversial original school musicals premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this year, and BroadwayWorld was on hand to discuss with the cast members of THE MUSICAL and RUN AMOK on their respective carpets.

Sundance has announced the film lineup for the 2026 festival, which features theater titles The Musical and Run Amok, both of which will compete in the U.S. Dramatic Competition category. 

Patrick Wilson, Margaret Cho, Elizabeth Marvel, Alyssa Marvin, Yul Vazquez, Bill Camp, and Molly Ringwald have all joined the cast of the new dark comedy Thoughts and Prayers.

The Green Room 42 will present TAYLOR SWIFT BY THE BOOK: IN CONCERT this December, celebrating the release of Taylor Swift By The Book: The Literature Behind The Lyrics, From Fairy Tales to Tortured Poets by Rachel Feder and Tiffany Tatreau.

BROADWAY BARKS has revealed the full roster of participants for the 25th annual dog and cat adoption event. 

Some of Broadway's brightest young stars will join the Times Square Project this Saturday, August 21, for their last performance before Broadway's reopening September 14th. Dance Molinari will be debuting an original song 'We're Gonna Come Back', performed by the next generation of Broadway.

On Monday, February 27, 2017, A Class Act NY, the award-winning acting studio for kids and teens, proudly presented the "MY FAVORITE THINGS" Cabaret at the historic Triad Theatre. Talented young singers, ages 7-18, presented songs from their favorite Broadway musicals. A portion of the proceeds were donated to The enCourage Kids Foundation, a charity that encourages all kids facing health challenges to be carefree kids.
