BIO

Bradley Cooper made his film debut in Wet Hot American Summer (2001) and gained early recognition as Will Tippin on the television series Alias (2001–2006). During this period, he also appeared in Bending All the Rules (2002), Miss Match (2003), I Want to Marry Ryan Banks (2004), Jack & Bobby (2004–2005), Wedding Crashers (2005), Kitchen Confidential (2005), Three Days of Rain on Broadway (2006), Failure to Launch (2006), The Comebacks (2007), Nip/Tuck (2007), Older than America (2008), The Understudy (2008), Yes Man (2008), The Rocker (2008), and The Midnight Meat Train (2008).


Cooper's breakthrough came with The Hangover (2009), which established him as a leading man. He followed with roles in Case 39 (2009), All About Steve (2009), New York, I Love You (2009), Valentine's Day (2010), The A-Team (2010), Limitless (2011), The Hangover Part II (2011), The Words (2012), Hit and Run (2012), The Place Beyond the Pines (2012), and Silver Linings Playbook (2012). His performance in Silver Linings Playbook earned Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for Best Actor.

In 2013, Cooper starred in The Hangover Part III and American Hustle, receiving Academy Award, BAFTA, Critics' Choice, and Golden Globe nominations for Best Supporting Actor. He followed with Serena (2014), voiced Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), returned to Broadway in The Elephant Man (2014), and co-produced and starred in American Sniper (2014), earning another Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. He later appeared in Aloha (2015), Burnt (2015), Joy (2015), 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016), War Dogs (2016), and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017).

Cooper expanded into directing with A Star Is Born (2018), which he directed, co-wrote, co-produced, starred in, and contributed to the soundtrack. The film earned multiple Academy Award, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Grammy nominations, while the song "Shallow" won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. He also appeared in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), The Mule (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), and co-produced Joker (2019), which received Academy Award and BAFTA nominations for Best Picture.

His recent work includes Licorice Pizza (2021), Nightmare Alley (2021), the Disney+ projects I Am Groot (2022) and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (2022), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023), and Maestro (2023), which he directed, produced, co-wrote, and starred in as Leonard Bernstein. Maestro earned him Academy Award, BAFTA, and Golden Globe nominations, and its soundtrack won a Grammy Award.

Cooper is set to direct and appear in the comedy Is This Thing On? (2025), make a cameo as Jor-El in Superman (2025), and star opposite Margot Robbie in a planned Ocean's Eleven prequel.
