BIO
Originally from Alexandria, VA, Sam grew up watching his mom play piano for a summer theatre through their church. To no one’s surprise, he wound up on that same stage when he was old enough to audition, playing Billy Crocker in Anything Goes. That same year, he took up guitar lessons, developing a dual love of rock n’ roll and musical theatre. He hasn’t stopped performing since.
With a wide vocal range that can sing anything from Johnny Cash to Journey, an unshakeable comedic-charm and signature left-handed guitar playing, Sam brings joy and authenticity to any project he takes on. Sam has played musical pioneers (Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Paul McCartney) to scene stealing comic relief (Ogie in Waitress) and everything in between. He has also served as music director while performing in productions of Million Dollar Quartet, Pump Boys & Dinettes and Buddy: the Buddy Holly Story.
Sam's original music, a hearty blend of Americana, rockabilly and folk, can be found on all streaming platforms. He is also the co-creator of Rockabilly Rumble, a touring tribute show dedicated to 1950's rock n' roll.
Sam holds a BA in Musical Theatre & Dance from Christopher Newport University. He is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association and currently splits his time between NYC and Washington DC. He is represented by Collective Talent in N
