The Miser starring Colm Feore is now available on the Stratford Festival’s streaming platform, Stratfest@Home.

Originally scheduled for the 2020 season, THE MISER, starring Colm Feore and directed by Antoni Cimolino, is currently playing at the Stratford Festival’s Festival Theatre stage. This Moliere comedy of manners fits right into current times, and this new adaptation by Ranjit Bolt is filled with pop culture references that elicit many a chuckle and belly laugh from the audience. The deliciously funny cast is in fine form and Feore appears to be having the time of his life.

Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino directs Colm Feore in the title role of Molière's delightful satire, The Miser, beginning previews in the Festival Theatre on Tuesday, August 9, in the year of Molière's 400th birthday.

Midlands-based theatre company 1623 is joining forces with Purple Theatre to premiere a brand new version of Much Ado About Nothing to Coalville's Century Theatre next month.

“The Braille Legacy” is the story of a great mind, Louis Braille, the blind young man who wanted  the same chance in life as those who see. From an original French book and lyrics by Sébastien  Lancrenon and music by Jean-Baptiste Saudray, translated by Ranjit Bolt, the show is directed by co-founder and Artistic Director, Greg Shane, with musical direction from Laurie Grant and executive produced by Martine Melloul.

Colm Feore will utter the first words on the Stratford Festival's newest stage, an echo of the inaugural performance in 1953, when Alec Guinness's opening speech in Richard III anticipated the a?oeglorious summera?? that was to come for Stratford. Feore, an internationally acclaimed stage and screen actor, is just one of a diverse company of accomplished actors who will present a repertory season of 15 productions in four remarkable theatres.

In 2015, Oregon Shakespeare Festival launched an ambitious 39-play, three-year commissioning project, Play on!, tasking 36 playwrights-more than half of whom were women and playwrights of color, each paired with a dramaturg-to translate Shakespeare's canon in celebration of the enduring impact of the Bard's work. Supported by a generous grant from the Hitz Foundation and inspired by long-time patron Dave Hitz's passion for Shakespeare, the project was and continues to be led by Lue Morgan Douthit. Portland Shakespeare Project and Proscenium Journal, in association with Artists Repertory Theatre, present the fourth annual Proscenium Live Festival of New Work with four nights of fresh plays. All performances are free and begin at 7:30pm on Artists Rep's Alder Stage.

On May 6, Portland Shakespeare Project presents a staged reading of Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare in a modern verse translation by Ranjit Bolt. This free staged reading is directed by Portland Shakes Artistic Director Michael Mendelson and is presented at Artists Repertory Theatre, on the Alder Stage, Sunday, May 6, at 7:30pm. The evening includes two free discussions, one pre-show beginning at 6:30pm and another post-show.

Moli re's TARTUFFE, as translated by Ranjit Bolt, is directed by Huntington Theatre Company's Artistic Director Peter DuBois and features an accomplished cast, led by Frank Wood and Brett Gelman. The story of a charlatan getting the better of a fool, despite the misgivings and warnings of his family, the dialogue is delivered in rhyming couplets, or what I refer to as satiric verses.

Remy Bumppo Theatre Company presents Puff: Believe It Or Not by Eug ne Scribe, translated by Ranjit Bolt, opening Monday, November 27, 2017 at 7:00pm at the Greenhouse Theater Center 2257 N. Lincoln Avenue.

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the brilliant classic comedy Tartuffe by Moli re, directed by Huntington Theatre Company Artistic Director Peter DuBois (Sunday in the Park with George), translated by Ranjit Bolt, and featuring actor and comedianBrett Gelman (Murray Bauman on the upcoming season of Netflix's Stranger Things and Dinner with Brett Gelman specials on Adult Swim) as Tartuffe and Tony Award winner Frank Wood (Side Man and August Osage County on Broadway and HBO's Flight of the Conchords ) as Orgon. Performances run from November 10 through December 10, 2017 at the Avenue of the Arts / Huntington Avenue Theatre.
