Olivia Rose Barresi Biography
Olivia Rose Barresi is an actor, singer and theatre artist originally from the Tri-State area. She earned her B.F.A. in Theatre Arts at Boston University’s C.F.A. School of Theatre, concentrating in acting and dramaturgy. After a one-year span in New York City working off and off-off-Broadway with various theater makers and companies, she returned to school to earn her MA in Acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). She is both a U.S. and E.U. citizen (her paternal grandparents hailing from Sicily).She's performed with a wide variety of people and companies, in New York City and regionally, since returning to the States. She is a member of the Renovationists, a theatre collective based in NYC helmed by playwright Corbin Went and director Emma Went. She's recently been a part of Renovationist projects Three Seconds at the Barn Arts Collective, and Boxcar at the Tank Theater. In addition, she most recently appeared as Rosalind in the Scranton Shakespeare Festival production of As You Like It. Other favorite recent roles include Rose Spencer in The New Sincerity (New Wave Theater Collective NYC), "Olivia" in The Same Shirt Show at Dixon Place, and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing at the Brick.
