Founder Rosie O’Donnell and Artistic and Executive Director Lori Klinger announced that Rosie’s Theater Kids will return to the stage to honor CBS President and CEO George Cheeks and Broadway producers Cathy and Elliott Masie (The Prom) at this year’s Passing It On Gala, an evening of performances celebrating mentorship.

Rosie’s Theater Kids will celebrate their 18th anniversary by honoring Grammy Award-winning and Emmy-nominated songwriter-producer Desmond Child at its annual gala presented both virtually and in-person on Monday, November 15 in New York City at The Whitby Hotel Theater (18 West 56 Street).

Rosie’s Theater Kids will present Passing It On, an evening of performances celebrating mentorship. Special appearances will be made by Tony Award winner and Disney Legend Lea Salonga and singer Jerusha Cavazos. The virtual event is scheduled for June 2 at 7 pm ET.

As kids across the country are settling into the new normal of online classrooms, leaders in performing arts education, Rosie's Theater Kids, is working with Broadway's biggest talent to develop a new virtual learning tool for kids to get out of their chairs and into the creative zone.

Remote learning, working from home, and video conferencing are all becoming a part of our daily routine. On August 13,  Rosie's Theater Kids held their Summer Celebration fundraiser at the home of board members Marty and Joanne Homlish in Edgartown, MA. Actor and RTK Board Member BD Wong welcomed guests who enjoyed performances from Rosie's Theater Kids and Tony Award-winning Broadway actress Jessie Mueller(Beautiful).
