Kyra Belle Johnson Headshot

BIO

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and graduated May of 2021 from Texas State University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. I have been performing in musicals since I was a wee little girl, but I have spent a lot of my life traveling the globe with my family and singing any tune that pops into my head. I love being in the sun and on a body of water (classic LA girl); lake, ocean, river, you name it and you’ll find me on it or in it.

I toured with the 2015/2016 North American production of Mamma Mia! as Sophie and a career doing what I loved most became possible. I knew I wanted music and performing to stick with me. So I decided to take on the college audition beast post-tour.

And that’s how I ended up in Texas! My time at Texas State helped me bloom. Since graduation, I moved to NYC and have started sowing my seeds. You can catch me at Steps, sunbathing at Sheep’s Meadow or on my quest to find the best latte in Manhattan (recommendations encouraged). I am so excited to continue to create, play, and inspire.
