The cast and creative team of WHO KILLED MARILYN? gathered around a table at Open Jar Studios this morning to begin rehearsals for industry readings on Friday.  Check out the photo below!

Broadway Baby Productions,LLC will present additional private industry readings of 'Who Killed Marilyn” a new play by Sharleen Cooper Cohen. Directed by Dick Scanlan (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Evening Rapture), the readings will be held on Friday, March 10 at 11:00am and 2:30pm.

Sacred Heart University has hired Martin Kagan as its new managing director of performing arts. Kagan, who resides in Riverside, will oversee the band & orchestra, choral and dance programs and will work directly with Jerry Goehring, executive director of the performing arts department. He will also develop and manage budgets, implement grants and pursue fundraising.

On Sunday May 1st of the Gold Standard Arts Festival, a week-long celebration of emerging and established artists over 50, will host a panel called: Can't Spell Gold W/out Old: How to Succeed, with stories targeted to an older demographic.

Saltbox TV, a production company and AVOD streaming service for older adults, formerly led by Ed Asner, has partnered with Encore Creativity for Older Adults, the nation's largest choral organization for adults over 55, to bring virtual music programs to older individuals.

Be More Chill has announced two new cast members for the final 5 weeks in its strictly limited 10 week run at The Shaftesbury Theatre; Grace Mouat [& Juliet, SIX the Musical] will play Chloe Valentine and Mountview graduate Nathania Ong, making her professional debut, will play Jenna Rolan.

Be More Chill is set to open at The Shaftesbury Theatre for a limited 10 week run from Wednesday 30 June. Bill Kenwright with Jerry Goehring, Lisa Dozier and Paul Taylor-Mills will be reviving the show this summer. 

Christy Altomare (Anastasia) is set to lead a June 16th developmental reading of a new musical, Alice in Neverland, a sequel to one of the most beloved stories of all time, and a prequel to another.

Be More Chill is set to open at The Shaftesbury Theatre for a limited 10 week run from Wednesday 30 June after its run on Broadway, Off Broadway and in London until the show was forced to close in March last year due to the pandemic.

The ceremony, scheduled for June 7 at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, celebrates outstanding achievement in high school musical theatre and cultivates the next generation of artists. Nominees and attendees from the two New England states are top-tier, high-caliber, high school performing arts students with passion for theatre.

The Broadway Podcast Network has announced the first-ever cross-continent BE MORE CHILL Reunion LIVE on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 9:00 pm, among some special surprises, this will be the first time the Broadway and West End casts will meet, exclusively on the Broadway Podcast Network.

Be More Chill has announced a six-week extension. It will now run at The Other Palace in London until Sunday 14 June 2020, making it the longest running musical at London's The Other Palace.

Be More Chill, the mind-bendingly fun, smash hit Broadway musical, comes to Chicago in a new production at the Apollo Theater. Based on the novel by Ned Vizzini, Be More Chill features music and lyrics by Tony nominee Joe Iconis and book by Joe Tracz. The Chicago production is led by the original creative team of Director Stephen Brackett and Choreographer Chase Brock. Be More Chill starts performances April 17, 2020, at the Apollo Theater, 2540 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. The Opening is April 26, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
