NATIVE AMERICA returns this October to PBS with four new hour-long episodes that present a groundbreaking portrait of contemporary Native America. Building on the first season’s success, Season 2 of the Native-directed series reveals the beauty and power of the Indigenous communities.

Last evening, Andréa Burns, Laura Osnes, and Jackie Burns attended a Zoom Promotional Party for BAA Onstage's productions of Dear Edwina Online Edition and A Killer Party: A Murder Mystery Musical. BAA Onstage is the affiliate production company of Broadway Artists Alliance of NYC.

Ava Giorgione of Harrisburg will appear in a groundbreaking virtual musical, A Killer Party: A Murder Mystery Musical, produced by 'BAA Onstage'. The show was conceived as a new style of online theatre by Jason Howland, Nathan Tysen, Kait Kerrigan, Rachel Axler and a team of 40+ Broadway professionals.

Barrel of Monkeys concludes its 2018-19 season with THAT'S WEIRD GRANDMA: Fantastic Beasts and the Stories About Them

Barrel of Monkeys presents the annual all musical edition of its much-lauded sketch show: THAT'S WEIRD, GRANDMA: Stories That Sing and Dance, directed by Artistic Director Brandon Cloyd, playing Fridays and Saturday at 7:30 pm from May 3 - 25, 2019 at the Neo-Futurist Theater, 5153 N. Ashland Ave. in Chicago.

The African & African American Performing Arts Coalition and K*Star*Productionshave announced the 15th anniversary edition of the Black Choreographers Festival: Here and Now (BCF), which will take place over four consecutive weekends, February 16 March 10, in San Francisco and Oakland. Following the opening two weekends at Dance Mission Theater in San Francisco, the Festival will move to SAFEhouse Arts at 145 Eddy Street for weekend three, with a final program at Laney College Theater in Oakland, March 9 10. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m.

Montalvo Arts Center kicks off its annual Art on the Grounds exhibition program this summer with We the People, an evening of poetry, performance, and sound and installation art. Alluding to the quintessentially American phrase that begins the preamble to the constitution, We the People is an invitation to the Bay Area community to join poets, musicians, and visual and sound artists from around the globe to examine the timely and central theme of expanding, understanding, and reimagining the inclusive ways of being together. We the People will be presented 6pm-10pm, July 20 at Montalvo Arts Center, 15400 Montalvo Road, Saratoga. Admission is free. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the winners of the 45th Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The gala was held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Southern California.

Montalvo Arts Center kicks off its annual Art on the Grounds exhibition this summer with an opening art festival titled United States of We. For 2018, the Art on the Grounds installations will include three newly-commissioned works by Lucas Artists Program Fellows: an innovative sonic journey of its lush and expansive grounds, a communally planted peace garden, and a large-scale art installation. The opening outdoor festival, which will be the official debut of these three works, will also include a showcase of poetry and performance. It will be held July 20. Admission is free.

Franz Welser-M st will lead concerts on three continents as part of The Cleveland Orchestra's 100th season in 2017-18, including two trips to Europe, appearances in New York City, and a return to Tokyo's Suntory Hall. All told, over 20 concerts are planned across seven weeks of touring, in addition to the Orchestra's regular home season in Cleveland at Severance Hall.
