BIO
Born and raised in Hell’s Kitchen, NYC, Anja started her operatic training at the Professional Performing Arts High School in Manhattan. She continued studying her craft at Loyola University New Orleans, moved back to NYC to work Off Broadway and study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. After a hiatus from performing due to the pandemic she moved back to New Orleans where she completed her BA in Theatre Studies. She is currently working on stage and behind the camera in New Orleans; and continuing her vocal career with notable credits including performances at Carnegie Hall, Birdland Jazz Club, and Lincoln Center

The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans will partner with The Historic New Orleans Collection and Loyola University New Orleans Department of Theatre Arts & Dance to stage The Six Blanches, a deep exploration of the main character from A Streetcar Named Desire adapted to be a part of celebration of the 75th anniversary of Streetcar.

Rising director-playwright team of Zeynep Akca and Reuven Glezer present their Off-Broadway debut, THE ARGENTINIAN PROSTITUTE PLAY, written by Glezer and directed by Akca, at the Broadway Bound Theatre Festival this August. Performances will take place at Theatre Row for an exclusive three-day run on August 20th, 21st, and 24th at 8PM, 5PM, and 2PM, respectively.

An original musical adaptation of "Beauty and the Beast", inspired by the 1740 French Novella, and decidedly not Disney, has been revived at the Players Theatre, and located at 115 MacDougal Street (between West 3rd and Bleeker) in the West Village. The production features a live chamber ensemble with music by Michael Sgouros and book and lyrics by Brenda Bell.
