In just a few weeks, major cultural event GALWAD will combine live performance, TV drama and digital film in a mind-blowing project that pushes the boundaries of storytelling. Unfolding in real-time, over seven days from 26 September-2 October, online, on TV and live across Wales, GALWAD is a story that brings a possible future roaring into the present. 

Sky Arts has announced as the broadcast partners to present GALWAD: A STORY FROM OUR FUTURE, a human story of contemporary Wales that offers a glimpse into the future and asks what would happen if the future tried to contact us. 

Sherman Theatre and Tron Theatre Company are delighted to announce the cast for their world premiere co-production of Jo Clifford's bold new play based on Shakespeare's The Taming of The Shrew. The production directed by Michael Fentiman runs at Sherman Theatre, Cardiff from 28 Feb - 16 Mar and Tron Theatre, Glasgow from 20 - 30 Mar.

Tron Theatre Company is working with Sherman Theatre, Cardiff to present the first out-of-London production of Stephen Adly Guirgis's The Motherf**ker with the Hat. After a run at Tron Theatre (1st 17th March), the production will be presented at Sherman Theatre from 21st 31st March. The fast-moving, foul-mouthed play was Guirgis's Broadway debut in 2011 and this will be the production's Scottish and Welsh premiere.

Sherman Theatre Artistic Director Rachel O'Riordan is to direct a radical reimagining of Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard by the celebrated playwright Gary Owen. The cast for Gary Owen's new version of The Cherry Orchard, which transfers the action to early 1980s Pembrokeshire, will feature a broad range of talents from stage and screen including a number of actors from Wales. The production will run from 13-28 October 2017 at the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff.
