The classic full-length ballet Swan Lake will be performed in four acts by Moscow Festival Ballet at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Tues. Feb. 28 @ 8:00 PM. The music for Swan Lake is by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikowski and choreography is by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. Swan Lake premiered: March 4, 1877 Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow, and his since been made infamous. The inspired story has regenerated itself throughout the years in popular culture with films like the animated 1994 children's favorite The Swan Princess and of course the much darker Black Swan, 2010.

His work has been commissioned by the Royal Shakespeare Company and has been performed in thirty countries in over twenty languages. Ken Ludwig is also the author of the popular Lend Me a Tenor and Moon Over Buffalo.
