The sixth and final concert series in The Palm Beach Pops' 20th Anniversary Season, The Magic of Broadway and Disney Favorites will feature Broadway stars Lea Salonga, Tony and Drama Desk Winner, best known as the singing voice in Disney movies and for her leading roles in Miss Saigon and Les Miserables, and 2007 Helen Hayes Award winner David Burnham of Wicked. Six concerts are scheduled beginning March 29, 30 & 31 at The Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium at FAU, Boca Raton, April 1 at the Eissey Campus Theatre at Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens and April 2 & 3 at the Kravis Center, West Palm Beach.

Last night, Jim Caruso's Cast Party made it's debut at The Crest Theatre in Delray Beach, Florida for the first of two nights. The ‘extreme open mic,' hosted by Jim Caruso and musical director Billy Stritch, celebrated and showcased local Florida talent, including singers Chloe Dolandis, Zoralis Calle Perez, Lily Forte, Sarah Dreben, guitarist Billy Rogan, pianist Joey Lieber and impressionist Sharon Daniels.

There is much to be said about a play that kept me thinking for hours. Indeed, HIGH kept me and my theater going companion arguing about the play for well over an hour. For HIGH is a play which works on many levels. Often, it is not easy to tell who is truly good and truly bad, as well as raising and perhaps answering some questions about the Catholic Church. However, unquestionably, HIGH serves as a platform for great actors. Great actors working their craft are onstage in HIGH at the Parker Playhouse, great actors to say the least.

Returning to the Royal Room for the first time since 2007, Tom Wopat first came to public attention in the late-1970s as the freewheeling Luke Duke on the TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. In 1977, he made his Broadway debut in Cy Coleman's I Love My Wife. Wopat went on to perform in the Tony Award-winning City of Angels and Guys and Dolls. He received a Tony nomination for creating the role of Frank Butler in the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun, opposite Bernadette Peters.

Instead he is saddled with a quarrelling cast, a shady ex-Navy Seal producer, and a bit of bad luck. Now if everyone would only stop singing. Top Gun! The Musical was the most successful show in the history of the Toronto Fringe Festival, playing to sell out crowds and unanimously good reviews.

Travelers at the Miami Int. Airport were treated to a surprise performance by Florida Grand Opera singers on Feb. 29th, courtesy of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation's 'Random Acts of Culture' program. A total of six surprise opera performances took the airport by storm. Singers sat and stood casually among other bystanders waiting for flights in terminal D. Then, suddenly, the music began and was shortly followed by seven vocalists performing ' Libiamo' (the Drinking Song) from Verdi's La Traviata.

Rees replaces Brian Bedford, who, due to scheduling conflicts, will be unable to perform his one-man show, The Lunatic, The Lover and the Poet, as previously announced.
