The 2011-2012 Broadway in Miami season is no exception with the much anticipated Miami premiere of Disney's THE LION KING. With all productions presented by Broadway in Miami, customers are able to purchase their tickets through www.arshtcenter.org, the primary authorized online ticket seller, by calling 305-949-6722 or in person at the Arsht Center Box Office. Fans may also place ticket orders through www.ticketmaster.com.

Florida Repertory Theatre announced the opening of Tru in the Florida Rep Studio Theatre, a devastatingly funny glimpse into the mind of America's icon, Truman Capote. The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County presents a special two-night-only engagement showcasing the critically-acclaimed dance troupe, PILOBOLUS dance theatre. World-renowned for their innovative mix of the human imagination and corporeal dexterity, and memorable performances on widely televised programs such as the Academy Awards and "The Oprah Winfrey Show," PILOBOLUS is destined to create a wondrous dance spectacle for South Florida audiences. Orlando Shakespeare Theater's Bard's Board Barristers present their annual mock trial on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center (812 East Rollins Street). Based on William Shakespeare's (and Orlando Shakespeare Theater's production of) Romeo and Juliet, this lively event will explore whether Friar Laurence is legally culpable for the untimely deaths of Juliet and Romeo.

Born and raised in Brazil, Paulo Szot made his opera debut 1997 and has appeared with many major opera companies throughout the world before starring in the Broadway revival of South Pacific at Lincoln Center Theatre, earning him the Tony Award, the Drama Desk, the Outer Critic's Circle and the Theater World Awards for his portrayal of Emile De Beque. In the 2008-2009 season Mr. Szot made his New York Philharmonic debut in a concert conducted by Marvin Hamlisch appearing alongside Liza Minnelli. After making his highly acclaimed Metropolitan Opera debut, he also made his Carnegie Hall debut with the New York Pops Orchestra. Mr. Szot has performed in the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center as part of the American Songbook Series and, in 2010 and 2011, at the Cafe Carlyle in New York.

ON KENTUCKY AVENUE, a stage musical based loosely on fact and mostly fiction about the people and performers who took the stage and filled the tables at the majestic Club Harlem "on Kentucky Avenue" in the north section of Atlantic City from the 1930s until the late 1980s, will be given a full staged reading on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 8 PM at the Westminster Performing Arts Center in Bloomfield, NJ, as part of the Center's Black History Month activities.

Ken Ludwig is an internationally acclaimed playwright whose many hits on Broadway, in London's West End and throughout the world have made his name synonymous with modern comedy. He has had six shows on Broadway and six in the West End, and he has won the Laurence Olivier Award, England's highest theatre honor, as well as three Tony Award nominations and two Helen Hayes Awards. His work has been commissioned by the Royal Shakespeare Company and has been performed in thirty countries in over twenty languages. Ken Ludwig is also the author of the popular Lend Me a Tenor and Moon Over Buffalo.
