GALLAGHER will wield his wooden mallet at the VAN WEZEL PERFORMING ARTS HALL on Friday, November 19 at 8 p.m.

Protective Plastic Advisory! Gallagher is back in town and taking the concept of food processing to new heights! Known for his outrageous brand of humor and his signature "Sledge-O-Matic," sketch, now Gallagher is Looking for Intelligent Life.

One of Florida's legends, Gallagher graduated from USF with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He went on tour as Jim Stafford's road manager and decided to take the stage himself, writing all his own material and honing his skills at such infamous venues as Ice House and the Comedy Store. Today, Gallagher has the distinction of being the first real star to come out of cable television, having done sixteen specials including Mad as Hell, Stuck in the 60's, Melon Crazy, and Smashing Cheeseheads. In 2008 he appeared on the Howard Stern Show for a one hour interview.

More than flying bits of food, Gallagher's show incorporates intelligent social and political commentary as only he can deliver. Add to this a plethora of oddball props and you have the ingredients of one of the most calculating performers in the entertainment world.

Gallagher will do a meet and greet-sign autographs and take pictures, an hour before the show.
Ticket prices range from $10 to $40. For more information and to buy tickets, contact the Van Wezel Box office at
(941) 953-3368 or log onto www.vanwezel.org. This show is sponsored by Sign Zoo.
