This holiday season, Bay Street Players will partner with Hearts and Hands Ministries to collect non-perishable food items to benefit area food banks. The food drive will coincide with the Bay Street Players' musical production of Sister Amnesia's Country Western Nunsense Jamboree, which runs from November 18 through December 11.
The Hearts and Hands Ministries is a multi-dimensional ministry that serves the community through a multi-site Food Bank, a Home Repair Ministry, a Thrift Store, and a Certified Pre-School. They are a 501(c)(3) cooperative ministry of the United Methodist Churches in Lake County, and partner with United Way, community food banks, churches, community organizations, service clubs, the NOMADS, and the Community Foundation of South Lake. The ministry manages a food bank that serves some 1000 people twice a month.
