Bay Street Players to Partner with Hearts and Hands Ministries

This holiday season, Bay Street Players will partner with Hearts and Hands Ministries to collect non-perishable food items to benefit area food banks. The food drive will coincide with the Bay Street Players' musical production of Sister Amnesia's Country Western Nunsense Jamboree, which runs from November 18 through December 11.

The Hearts and Hands Ministries is a multi-dimensional ministry that serves the community through a multi-site Food Bank, a Home Repair Ministry, a Thrift Store, and a Certified Pre-School. They are a 501(c)(3) cooperative ministry of the United Methodist Churches in Lake County, and partner with United Way, community food banks, churches, community organizations, service clubs, the NOMADS, and the Community Foundation of South Lake. The ministry manages a food bank that serves some 1000 people twice a month.

Theatre patrons and anyone else who wishes to donate food items may bring them to the State Theatre, 109 N. Bay Street in downtown Eustis. Suggested items to donate include the following:
Peanut Butter Jelly or Jam Tuna Fish
Oatmeal Canned Fruit 100% Juice
Canned Vegetables Instant Mashed Potatoes Canned Meats
Dry or Canned Beans Dry/Powdered Milk Macaroni & Cheese
Evaporated Milk Tomato Products Pasta
Canned Soup Cereal Rice
Coffee or Tea Crackers

Bay Street Players is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community theatre celebrating 37 seasons of live theatre at the historic 1922 State Theatre in downtown Eustis.
