(02/28/2014) - Jonathan Fielding (Broadway's Pygmalion, The Seagull) has landed a role in the NBC drama pilot Odyssey and must step out of Thomas Ward's International Falls, a dark comedy about a stand-up comedian and a hotel desk clerk. Ward will play Fielding's role in Greyman Theatre Company's inaugural New York production through March 7 at The Tank (151 W. 46th St.). The official opening is tonight, February 28 at 7 p.m. The March 8 and 9 performances have been canceled. Check out a first look below!

(02/26/2014) - Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) held its 2014 Vision 2014 Gala on February 25th at Cipriani 42 in New York City. As Dance Theatre of Harlem celebrates its 45th Anniversary, this year's gala was themed 'Live the Moment' and raised $700,000, $75,000 of which resulted from the entertaining live auction conducted by Audrey Smaltz, with the proceeds benefitting the DTH School's Next Generation and Community Engagement Funds. Honorees were Grammy Award-winning recording artist Patti LaBelle with the Arthur Mitchell Vision Award; dance educator and arts advocate Jody Gottfried Arnhold with The Carl and Lily Pforzheimer Foundation Medal; and Goldman, Sachs & Co. senior partner Valentino D. Fluid edit was prominent during Velasco's Fall 2014 Fashion Show on Monday February 10, a manifestation of her concept 'String Theory' was featured on day five of New York Fashion Week. Her show featured the bold singular red string and an array of multi-colored embroidered strings that was playfully weaved across each unique runway look; all magically relating, but uniquely different through this young designer's vision and inspiration. Truvada (Gilead Sciences, Inc) was approved by the FDA for the treatment of HIV in August of 2004 and was extended for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for prevention of HIV in July of 2012. In association with Damon L. Jacobs (psychotherapist, author), Gary Weingarten (Verlaine Bar and Lounge), and other organizations, Honey LaBronx hosted the first party in New York to spread the word about this game changing prevention strategy. This production follows a sold-out concert at Joe's Pub and a standing-room-only development reading in the spring of 2013. THE DISAPPEARING MAN takes place backstage at a small-time travelling circus in 1936. When the headliner is offered another job, the motley troupe must decide whether to adapt to the change or fight to keep the family together. NYC Parks, partnering with the Department of Sanitation, GreeNYC, and numerous community organizations, provides New Yorkers with the opportunity to mulch their Christmas trees into wood chips that will be used to nourish parks and gardens throughout the city. (12/08/2013) - The Sunshine Committee of the Friars Club hosted a Holiday Party and special film screening of Sony Pictures Animation's 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2' at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City. For over twenty-five years, the Friars Club Sunshine Committee, which is funded through an annual holiday raffle held at the club, has been providing entertainment, companionship and tons of love to senior citizens, musicians, comedians or performance artists to brighten up the residents of nursing homes, or providing clowns, magicians and entertainment for disadvantaged children in group homes, the Sunshine Committee is dedicated to enhancing each and every life they touch. Friars members who handed out gifts to the children after the movie were, Former Mayor David Dinkens, Former New York Ranger Rod Gilbert, NY Yankee Broadcaster Michael Kay, Former NY Knick Cal Ramsey, Pix News Marvin Scott, Pix News Jodi Applegate, and Boxing Champ Michael Spinks.

(12/02/2013) - London-based Punchdrunk-best known in New York as the creators of Sleep No More-just opened its first venture into restaurants with The Heath at The McKittrick Hotel (542 W 27th Street, New York, NY), one of New York's most unique nightlife and entertainment destinations. In collaboration with EMURSIVE (Jonathan Hochwald, Arthur Karpati, and Randy Weiner) and Chef R.L. King, Punchdrunk has crafted a dining experience in the spirit of Sleep No More to compliment Chef King's menu, which is a modern take on classic American and British fare. Same Sex marriage is not legal in their home state of North Carolina so Arakelian decided to surprise Bodkin with a flash mob proposal in Times Square on Friday morning, and Bodkin said, 'yes!' A November wedding is planned at the Manhattan Penthouse of Broadway producers, Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley. Carole will be the officiant and Leah Lane is the couple's Best Person. (11/23/2013) - NYC Parks Deputy Commissioner Robert L. Garafola and Bronx Parks Commissioner Hector M. Aponte today joined State Assembly Member Jeffrey Dinowitz, Councilman-elect Andrew Cohen, and members of Community Board 7 and the Friends of Williambsbridge Oval to cut the ribbon on the newly renovated Williamsbridge Oval Recreation Center in the Bronx. The Recreation Center underwent extensive interior and exterior renovations totaling $5.2 million. NYC Parks and community partner organizations celebrated the center's opening day with a 'Kids and Adult Fitness Festival' featuring a variety of free activities, events, and prizes.
