Hangar Theatre's third annual fall CabarETC season continues with An Evening of Latin and World Music featuring jazz vocalist Sally Ramírez and guitarist Doug Robinson who will be joined by percussionist Jorge Cuevas, and violinist Eric Aceto in a one-night-only performance tonight, October 20th at 8pm.

The Skidmore College Department of Theater has announced its Fall 2012 black box production, ALMOST, MAINE by John Cariani, directed by Lary Opitz. Performances are tonight, October 19-21 and 25-28, 2012. All shows are in the Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater at 8:00pm, except for Sunday matinees at 2:00pm.

Sex, Drugs and Chamber Music! The Kitchen Theatre Company's 22nd Season continues with a deliciously constructed and dramatic play about a renowned string quartet. Equal parts mystery, romance, and backstage drama, Opus by Michael Hollinger runs tonight, October 17th to November 11th at the Kitchen Theatre in downtown Ithaca. Previews are tonight, October 17, 18, and 19, Opening Night is October 20, and the play continues through November 11, 2012.

Syracuse Stage welcomes Julian Rad's adaptation of the novel as their 40th season opener. Rad's MOBY DICK opened off-off Broadway in 2003 and was nominated for Drama Desk Awards. This play with songs was heralded for its bare set and authentic sea chanteys.

To recreate the fame and heartbreak of the badass group, there has to be a gritty finesse in order to showcase the unexpected voices and talent of four Jersey hoodlums. The story is the all too familiar tale of four boys under a streetlight; the tremendous success and the embittered fall-right back to a glamorous reunion. This tour has that finesse.

Sandra Karas Returns to Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in NUNSENSE, Now thru 10/20

The Merry-Go-Round Playhouse has announced the return of Sandra Karas to the Playhouse stage in the role of Mother Superior in "Nunsense," the final production of the 2012 Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival season. Karas, who serves as secretary and treasurer of the Actors' Equity Association, most recently appeared as Fraulein Schneider in "Cabaret" at the Playhouse in August. Karas resides in New York City, but was a resident of Manlius for many years. She has been seen in numerous productions at the Playhouse including Sister Lee in "Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?, Vivian in "Church Basement Ladies 2: A Second Helping" and Tottendale in "The Drowsy Chaperone."

CRT's Little York Fall Fiber Arts Festival Planned for 10/13 & 14

Come one, come all to the inaugural Little York Fall Fiber Arts Festival, to be held on October 13 and 14, 2012. This fine arts and crafts festival, the first of its kind in Cortland, will be held at the Little York Pavilion in Dwyer Memorial Park at 6799 Little York Lake Road in Preble. It will be hosted by the Board and Guild of Cortland Repertory Theatre with proceeds benefitting the theater's seasonal expenses as well as their capital campaign for the new "CRT Downtown" facility.
