Eliza Doolittle is the original 'Pretty Woman'! Your favorite musical about a bet to turn a cockney flower girl into a lady comes to Feinstein's/54 Below in this very special concert version. For lovers of Broadway musicals, this winner of the 1957 Tony Award for Best Musical is the Holy Grail of Golden Age shows. Based on George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, My Fair Lady is quite possibly Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's best known work. Rebecca Spigelman has been seen in numerous concerts at Feinstein's/54 Below including Twisted in Concert presented by Team Starkid and hosted by Darren Criss. Regionally, Rebecca has been seen across the country performing in shows such as Hair, [title of show], and Hairspray. Rebecca suffers from "You Look So Much Older" Syndrome, a disease affecting many high school actresses who look much older than their actual age. This disease then leads them to getting cast in roles that they would never play in the real world. In this hysterical cabaret, Rebecca, and some very special guests, use the music of Judy Garland, Ethel Merman, Ann Miller, and more, to champion the plight of actresses who know what its like to use an eyebrow pencil for wrinkle lines, baby powder for hair coloring, and where to trade character shoes for sensible orthopedics.
