Bill Hanney's award winning North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) is teaming up with Northshore 104.9 and The Musary for a unique musical instrument donation drive throughout the run of Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN, playing June 6 thru June 18 at North Shore Music Theatre, 62 Dunham Road, Beverly, MA.

Throughout the run of THE MUSIC MAN, NSMT will be collecting donations of any old and unwanted musical instruments to be donated to The Musary, a one of a kind lending library of musical instruments, providing instruments to anyone in need ... no strings attached! Instrument donations can be made in the lobby while attending a performance, or during normal business hours if you do not want to see the show but would still like to make an instrument donation. The Musary, located in Hamilton, MA, is a 501(c)3 organization, all donations are subject to a maximum tax deduction. More information about The Musary can be found on their website: www.themusary.org.

The Musary will also be coordination four free Instrument Playgrounds to take place in the courtyard at NSMT on June 10, 11, 17, and 18 at 12:30pm. Instrument Playgrounds are an opportunity for children and adults to discover their inner musicians by enjoying a demonstration of woodwind, brass, string, and percussion instruments by professional musicians, then asking questions, and even playing the instruments they just heard.

Tickets for THE MUSIC MAN are priced starting from $57 - $82. Performances are June 6 - 18, Tue - Thurs at 7:30 pm, Fri & Sat at 8 pm, matinees Wed, Sat and Sun at 2 pm. Kids 18 and under save 50% at all performances. For tickets and information call (978) 232-7200, visit www.nsmt.org, or visit the box office in person at 62 Dunham Rd., Beverly, MA

Since opening in 1955, NSMT has become one of the most attended theatres in New England, with approximately 250,000 patrons annually. With a national and regional reputation for artistic achievement, NSMT has received numerous industry awards including Elliot Norton Awards, IRNE Awards, the Rosetta Le Noire Award from Actors' Equity, and the Moss Hart Award. NSMT produced the World Premiere of 'Memphis' in 2003, the show went on to win four 2010 Tony Awards including Best Musical. Under the new ownership of Bill Hanney since 2010, NSMT continues to annually produce a musical subscription series and an annual production of 'A Christmas Carol' along with celebrity concerts, children's programming and year-round education classes.
