Franklin School of Performing Arts Will Hold Open House for Little Music School 9/11
Little Music School, an innovative music program at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA), will hold an Open House and Orientation Workshop on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at FSPA, 38 Main Street, Franklin. The Little Music School (LMS) method teaches children as young as eighteen months to play the piano. The concept of the program is that every child is born with intrinsic musical abilities and the sooner we cultivate those natural tendencies, the better.
LMS classes are taught in a cheerful and colorful environment where children ages 18 months and up have fun listening to music, singing and dancing, moving rhythmically, and exploring sounds with several musical instruments, including the piano. Children who participate in the LMS program are invited to perform in biannual recitals.
At the Open House, children and their parents/caregivers will have the opportunity to meet Little Music School instructors, get acquainted with the LMS' note/color association method, and participate in music and movement activities.
Come and see what the fun is all about on September 11th!
The schedule for the Open House will be:
10:30-11:00: 18 to 24-month-olds
11:00-11:30: 2 and 3-year-olds
11:30-12:00: 4 and 5-year-olds
