A transfer where? To Broadway? That production was in the round, and I don’t see it fitting in Circle in the Square. Also, it was a British production of Streetcar that already transferred to NY 4 years ago - what does that have to do with a separate production of Streetcar playing in Massachusetts?

Exactly. As a personal note, I found it to be rather distracting despite Anderson’s incredible performance.
But this is something totally different...this is AUDRA! Can’t wait for summer in the Berkshires!!!!
I can't decide which excites me more: the great Audra in that incredible role or Bobby in a muscle shirt. Either way, I'm there. And bringing opera glasses.
I love Audra but feel she's wrong for the role. The stage direction call for Blanche to be "mothlike" and William's wanted her to be the moth attracted to Stanley's "flame". To me, Audra is too sturdy for the role.

It’s also fun to think of Cate Blanchett as a degree of separation, her doing Streetcar led to Blue Jasmine, with Cannavale in the Stanley role. Should be interesting to see him on stage in the play that inspired that fantastic film and his role in it.
