I saw him last night and he blew me away with that voice. I must admit I thought he was a woman for about half of the show. After I realized who he was I remembered people being disappointed about his lack of a nomination. The thoughts of the OP also crossed my mind.

$200 sounds very steep for a show that was only 1/3 full. I paid that much to see Bette Midler in Hello, Dolly! Maybe wait for a discount code or to see if a certain performer is on before spending a lot of money on tickets.
It’s disappointing when you don’t see someone after looking forward to it, but it’s live theatre and this happens.
