Formed in Leeds, 1980, TSOM, while named after a Leonard Cohen song, took inspiration from such luminaries as Bowie, Slade and The Velvet Underground. But their closest sonic bedfellows are The Stooges, Motörhead and Suicide, the influence of which imbued the band with a distinct sound of their own when compared to others in the post-punk era.

Carlos Santana’s residency is off to a big start in 2023, finishing up a string of sold-out shows at the House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino last night! Santana and House of Blues are excited to set additional performances of An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live: scheduled to take place this September and November.

For this release on Perris Records, the first six tracks were taken off the master DAT tapes. Tracks 7 through 11 were recorded in smaller studios as pre-production and were never intended for sale. Anthony Focx, whose credits include Ace Frehley, Buckcherry & Night Ranger, mastered all 11 tracks on this CD.

BSS (SEVENTEEN) is back with the unit’s first single album SECOND WIND. BSS is a special unit under the 13-piece K-pop powerhouse act SEVENTEEN, consisting of SEUNGKWAN, DK and HOSHI. The unit name is the acronym for ‘BooSeokSoon,’ each of the three letters taken from the Korean name of the members that form the unit.

Following her new GRAMMY win, Viola Davis has become the 18th person in history to achieve the EGOT status. Davis has won two Tony Awards for King Hedley II in 2001 and then for Fences in 2010. She won an Emmy Award for How to Get Away With Murder and an Oscar for reprising her stage role in the film adaptation of Fences.

The occasion marks Shaffer’s return to late night after serving as bandleader for David Letterman for over 30 years. Kit Harington and Tyler James Williams will also appear during tonight’s episode.      

Rob49, just dropped his latest street anthem, “4 God II”. This single, produced by Schife, Rico on the Keys and Tupun, is the first of the year, following his highly successful “Welcome to Vulture Island” album released in 2022. The video, directed by Gerard Victor, shows the Vulture Island star bossed up and bounced back.

For the accompanying music video, Emily took on directorial duties, delivering a fun, expressive, carefree visual to go with the track. We see her at a decked-out party complete with a champagne tower and fine China. Yet inside, she can’t let go of her aprehension. As the video plays, we see her let loose, unafraid to just be herself.

The track was recorded with Jim White at his house in Athens, GA, Jesse Magnum at The Glow Studio, also in Athens, and the Bomb Shelter in Nashville (Ben's hometown) with Drew Carroll engineering. Jim White produced the track, while the mixing and mastering was done by John Keane. The song is a duet and features Becky Warren.
