On Saturday, March 31, 2012, producer Ken Davenport (Godspell) will present a private industry reading of the new musical SOMEWHERE IN TIME, based on the 1980 Universal Motion Picture of the same name by Richard Matheson.

ABC Family has given the greenlight to the new drama series BUNHEADS, which s set to premiere on June 11. Executive-produced by Amy Sherman-Palladino ('Gilmore Girls') and headlined by Tony Award-winning actor Sutton Foster, BUNHEADS is the tale of a Las Vegas showgirl who impulsively marries a man, moves to his sleepy coastal town, and takes an uneasy role at her new mother-in-law's dance school. Today in 2008, the fourth Broadway revival of Gypsy opened at the St. James Theatre, where it ran for 332 performances. Gypsy is a musical with music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and a book by Arthur Laurents. It follows the dreams and efforts of Rose to raise two daughters to perform onstage and casts an affectionate eye on the hardships of show business life. The musical contains many songs that became popular standards, including 'Small World,' 'Everything's Coming up Roses', 'Some People', 'Let Me Entertain You', and 'Rose's Turn'.

Next week on SMASH, The team begins their pursuit of a marquee star, as Eileen (Anjelica Huston) charges Tom and Julia (Christian Borle and Debra Messing) with finding a title for the newly reinvigorated musical. Karen (Katharine McPhee) and Ivy (Megan Hilty) find themselves in competition again -- this time for an orange juice commercial. Relationship troubles abound, as Frank (Brian d'Arcy James) makes an unwelcome discovery.

Broadway vet Tony Vincent last month made his first appearance on NBC's singing competition THE VOICE, where he performed his on rendition of Queen's 'We Are the Champions.' Pittsburgh's City Theatre will present POP!- a rock musical about Andy Warhol. This brand new show will star Anthony Rapp (Rent, Dazed and Confused) as Andy Warhol and will be directed by Brad Rouse (Hedwig at City Theatre) and choreographed by Billy Porter (Broadway star and international recording artist). The show will be performed at City Theatre May 5-27, 2012.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) has just announced that 100 tickets to Newsies will be available via lottery for the opening night performance on Thursday, March 29th. The ticket allotment has been donated by Disney Theatrical Productions, allowing 100% of the proceeds to benefit BC/EFA. Beginning at Noon, patrons are invited to enter the lottery for 100 tickets; winners will be drawn at 12:30PM. Winners may then purchase up to two $30.00 cash only tickets to that evening's performance. Winners must be present with valid identification at the time of the drawing.

Tony Award-winner Frances Ruffelle attended Phantom-The Las Vegas Spectacular at The Venetian Las Vegas over the weekend. After seeing the show, Ruffelle was able to catch up with Anthony Crivello ('The Phantom'), who starred in original Broadway company of Les Miserables together with her. MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey and William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) will tonight present the company's highly anticipated annual gala. Complimenting the glittering, previously announced Miscast will be Josh Gad ("Modern Family," The Book of Mormon), Norm Lewis (The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess), Jan Maxwell (Follies, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), Rory O'Malley (The Book of Mormon), Constantine Maroulis ("American Idol," Rock of Ages), and Nicole Parker ("Mad TV," a Miscast favorite returning for her 4th time). The event will be held Monday, March 26, 2012 at The Hammerstein Ballroom (311 West 34th Street).

Goodspeed Musicals will present its much-anticipated new production of Mame. The brassy musical comedy will run from April 20 - July 1 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn.
