The Groundwork Music Orchestra Holiday Concert Held At Thunderbird Coffee

The Groundwork Music Orchestra is proud to announce a holiday music event featuring a standard cannon of grown up friendly songs for kids plus some special tunes to fit the season, Saturday, December 18 at Thunderbird Coffee. In addition to perennial favorites, the band will play familiar Hanukkah songs and traditional Klezmer folk songs borne of Eastern European Jewish traditions.

The Groundwork Music Orchestra is an offshoot of the Groundwork Music Project, an organization that provides free music programs in underserved preschools. The Orchestra performs and records variations of songs for young children that adults and older kids can enjoy along with the young ones.

Groundwork Music Orchestra's debut CD, Introducing the Groundwork Music Orchestra, includes co-writes with Ben Kweller and guest appearances from notables like Guy Forsyth and David Garza.

This event is free. Donations are welcomed and encouraged. All proceeds will go toward providing free music classes in Austin area preschools.
