RANDY REDD made his Broadway debut in PARADE (Lincoln Center) directed by Harold Prince. Other Broadway credits include RING OF FIRE and MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET. He recently appeared in THE VIEW UPSTAIRS, ALLEGRO (Classic Stage Company), directed by John Doyle, Alain Boublil’s MANHATTAN PARISIENNE directed by Graciela Daniele, and PUMP BOYS & DINETTES (City Center Encores). Other credits include MAY WE ALL, Randy Newman’s FAUST (City Center Encores), THE BURNT PART BOYS (Playwrights Horizons), Terrence McNally's SOME MEN (Second Stage), the American premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber's BY JEEVES directed by Alan Ayckbourn, MIDSUMMER (City Theatre), LUCKY STIFF (York Theatre), BLOOD BROTHERS, ONE MAN BAND, and SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN. Film/TV: “Beautiful Creatures” and “The Last 5 Years” directed by Richard LaGravenese, “After The Storm” directed by Hilla Medalia, "Kinsey" directed by Bill Condon, “From Broadway With Love” (PBS), “All-American New Years” (FOX), "The Wright Verdicts", Good Morning America, the Today Show, the Tony Awards, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and Show Biz After Hours with Frank DiLella (NY1).

As a writer, his first play, MISSISSIPPI SUGAR, was developed and produced at The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. Other original works include Dan Mills' FICTION IN PHOTOGRAPHS, WHAT’S THAT SMELL: THE MUSIC OF JACOB STERLING (Atlantic Theatre Company) with David Pittu, piano arrangements for the plays SOME MEN (Second Stage) and GOLDEN AGE (Philadelphia Theater Company and The Kennedy Center) by Terrence McNally, THERE'S THE STORY by Tim McCracken, the short film HOLD (American Living Room: Lincoln Center) and “With You” (recorded by Ronan Keating) for “Postman Pat: The Movie” (Lionsgate).

BWW Review: North Carolina Theatre's RING OF FIRE

Ring of Fire is a musical presented as a concert by a group of five performers playing the songs of legendary country music artist Johnny Cash. The show, which was conceived by William Meade and created by Richard Maltby, Jr., opened on March 12th, 2006 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Broadway. Sadly, it only ran for 57 performances after closing on April 30th of that year. This production presented by North Carolina Theatre happens to be directed by Randy Redd, who was a member of the original Broadway cast.

North Carolina Theatre has announced the full cast for Ring of Fire with music and lyrics by Johnny Cash directed by Randy Redd, who was a part of the Original Broadway cast of Ring of Fire.  Performances will run from April 29 – May 8 at A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.
