BIO
Larry Pine is a veteran actor with a career spanning over four decades. He has appeared in numerous Broadway productions, films, and television shows, showcasing his versatility and range as an actor.
Pine began his career in the theater, performing in off-Broadway productions before making his Broadway debut in 1976 in the play "Equus." He went on to appear in several other Broadway productions, including "The Seagull," "The Royal Family," and "The Designated Mourner." He also worked with prestigious theater companies such as The Public Theater and Lincoln Center Theater.
In addition to his stage work, Pine has also made a name for himself in film and television. He has appeared in over 50 films, including "The Grand Budapest Hotel," "Moonrise Kingdom," and "The Royal Tenenbaums." He has also had recurring roles on several television shows, including "Ozark," "House of Cards," and "The Blacklist."
Despite his success in film and television, Pine has always maintained his love for the theater. In an interview with BroadwayWorld, he said, "I think theater is the most important art form. It's where everything begins, where we learn how to tell stories, how to communicate with each other. It's where we learn empathy and compassion."
Pine's dedication to the theater has not gone unnoticed. He has received several awards and nominations for his stage work, including a Drama Desk Award nomination for his performance in "The Designated Mourner" and an Obie Award for his performance in "The Hothouse."
In recent years, Pine has continued to work both on stage and on screen. He appeared in the Broadway production of "Casa Valentina" in 2014 and in the off-Broadway production of "The Gentleman Caller" in 2018. He also had a recurring role on the Amazon series "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" and appeared in the film "The Irishman" in 2019.
Despite his impressive resume, Pine remains humble and dedicated to his craft. In an interview with The New York Times, he said, "I'm not a star. I'm a working actor. I'm just grateful for the opportunities I've had."
