Fan favorites from 10TV News will be on hand throughout the Expo. Grab a picture or an autograph - or just stop and say hi.
Be a 10TV Sportscaster, Presented by Discount Drug Mart
10TV and Discount Drug Mart have your chance to live out your sportscasting dreams. Dom Tiberi will introduce you as the guest sportscaster and then it'll be your job to deliver the sports report on camera. When it's all done, you'll get a souvenir copy of your moment in the spotlight.
Nearly a year ago, on Sept. 17, 2013, 10TV Sports Anchor Dom Tiberi lost his 21-year-old daughter, Maria, in a tragic distracted driving accident. Since that time, he and WBNS-10TV have been airing public service announcements and making school appearances to educate teens about the dangers of distracted driving. Stop by the Maria's Message booth to learn more, sign Maria's Pledge and try ODOT's distracted driving simulator.
Commit To Be Fit
Stop by 10TV's Commit To Be Fit booth to learn about the upcoming Fall Hike Series at area Metro Parks. You can also pick up information on dog-friendly walking trails, sign a fitness pledge and meet 10TV's Jeff Hogan. Commit To Be Fit partners like the YMCA of Central Ohio, Columbus Public Health and Giant Eagle will be on hand at the Expo to offer fitness ideas, as well.
At the stage at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., organ donors and recipients who worked with the Donate Life program will present their inspiring and amazing stories.
10 a.m. Tumbling and Stunting with Step 1 Allstars
Watch the athletes from Step 1 Allstars demonstrate tumbling and stunting skills of all levels. These experienced athletes ranging in age from 7 to 18 years old will show off their talents in an upbeat and energizing way. This performance is sure to jump-start your day.
Noon Pound Rockout Workout, with Get Fit Studio
Pound is a full-body workout that incorporates "Ripstix" - lightly weighted drumsticks you use to drum along to hot soundtracks for a fat-burning interval workout. Pound fuses cardio, Pilates, plyometrics, isometric movements, poses and, in this instance, the music of Bret Michaels.
1 p.m. Life Rocks: A Discussion with Bret Michaels
Get up close and personal with the legendary Poison frontman as he talks about overcoming life's obstacles, being a "drealist" and staying healthy - even in the busiest of times.
2 p.m. A Conversation with Ohio State Sports Legends
Join 10TV Sports Anchor Dom Tiberi in a conversation with some of the Buckeyes' greatest sports heroes, including former football coach John Cooper, two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin and basketball star Scoonie Penn.
3:10 p.m. Les Mills Body Attack Workout, with Darbie Everhart of Premier at Sawmill Athletic Club
Body Attack is a high-energy, sports inspired cardio workout that builds strength and stamina for folks of all levels of fitness. You will experience energy, passion and a challenge. Give your body and mind a great workout in less than an hour.
4:10 p.m. El Ritmo Flamenco Ensemble, with Guest Dancers from Ballet Met and Flamenco Corazon
Enjoy the sites and sounds of flamenco dancing. Afterwards, learn how to dance Sevillanas like they do at the ferias in Spain. Olé!
FITNESS ZONE - SUNDAY SCHEDULE
10 a.m. Yoga, with Columbus Commons Fit Club
Yoga is a mix of movement and breathing. Basic poses and breathing techniques are blended together to create an invigorating workout that will leave you balanced and ready for a busy weekend.
11 a.m. Kickboxing, with Columbus Commons Fit Club
Kickboxing combines martial arts skills like kicking and punching with functional movements that use your body weight. Each class starts out with a group warm-up, followed by a fast-paced workout. Instructor Alexander Chang will have you working hard, learning usable skills, having fun and getting results.
Noon Hip-Hop Workout, with Columbus Commons Fit Club
Hip-hop class provides a structured method of learning a variety of dance movements in a fun-filled and vibrant class environment. Instructor Alexander Chang also brings new sets of combinations and routines every class.
2 p.m. Square Dancing, with Central Ohio Western Square Dancers
Watching square dancing is fun, but it's even more fun when you join in. At the Expo, this troupe of dancers will be invite volunteers from the audience to get up and dance with them. The music may surprise you: It's light on the fiddle and banjo typically associated with square dancing. Instead, the playlist includes country, oldies, modern rock, Top 40, Broadway show tunes and even opera melodies.
3 p.m. Capital University Cheerleaders
Demonstration of cheers, motions, tumbling and stunting.
4 p.m. Power Hour Workout, with Title Boxing
Title Boxing Club has taken fitness to a whole new level with their Power Hour workouts. These explosive total-body fitness classes can help you lose weight and burn fat. Depending on your intensity, you can burn up to 1,000 calories in just one Power Hour class. How hard you work out is completely up to you. All fitness levels are welcome, from beginners to pros, in three fun workout styles.
10:15 a.m. Cooking with Lisa Abraham, Columbus Dispatch Food Editor
Lisa, who came aboard as Dispatch Food Editor earlier this year, will show you how to incorporate fresh summer produce into dishes your family will love.
11 a.m. and 1 p.m. How to Avoid Measles, Mumps and Other Vaccine-Preventable Diseases, with Meijer Clinical Services Pharmacist Megan Kappes
There has been an outbreak of Measles and Mumps in Central Ohio and as a result of an emergency order by the board of pharmacy pharmacists are now able to provide adult vaccinations to protect against MMR (measles, mumps, rubella). Learn how vaccinations are also the No. 1 way to prevent diseases beyond MMR, like shingles, flu, pneumonia, whooping cough and hepatitis B.
Noon Cooking with Chef Tony Biggs from Certified Angus Beef
Chef Tony is the director of culinary arts for the Certified Angus Beef brand. He's bringing 35 years of international hospitality management experience to the Expo, most recently as executive chef for the royal family of Jordan. He'll show you why Certified Angus Beef is a cut above the rest.
2 p.m. Cooking with Chef Charlie Xu from Bareburger
Bareburger offers organic and all-natural burgers, salads, and shakes. At the Expo, Chef Charlie will show you how to make bison sliders with Bareburger's own special sauce.
3 p.m. Cooking with Chef Rob Jones
Chef Rob, a Columbus native and graduate of Columbus State's Culinary Arts program, is currently sous chef for one of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants' newest eateries, Hudson 29. At the Expo, Rob will prepare wood-grilled salmon served with a couscous and kale salad. He will discuss such topics as proper couscous cooking, vegetable prep for the salad, how to properly fillet salmon, the difference between farm-raised and wild salmon, the different varieties of salmon and the different ways to cook salmon.
4 p.m. Cooking with Chef Alfonso Contrisciani from Plate Restaurant
Alfonso is a certified master chef, restaurateur and Academic Dean of Hospitality Programs at Hocking College. His New Albany restaurant offers a total farm-to-plate experience and, in keeping with that theme, is coming to the Expo to show you how he incorporates organic garden cooking into his repertoire.
ALL DAY ACTIVITIES
Do you know your health numbers? Stop by the Health Screenings Zone and get readings for blood pressure, blood glucose, body mass index and cholesterol (total, LDL and HDL). All screenings, courtesy of Chek Diagnostics and Giant Eagle clinicians, are non-fasting. (Must be 21 years old; limited to 500 people per day.) Other health professionals will be at the expo to conducting additional screenings, as well.
Quit Smoking Zone
Learn about today's leading-edge approaches to quit smoking from medical experts at The James and Ohio State's Wexner Medical Center. Get started with evaluations at the Expo and learn how to break the habit's behavioral and psychological patterns. Information about nicotine replacement approaches will also be available. The American Lung Association will also be on hand with information and resources, including COPD screenings. You can do it this time!
Million Step Challenge for Better Health, Presented by Lucky Shoes
Walk around the Expo to help hit 10TV's goal of a million steps for better health. We'll give you a pedometer so you can record your steps while you're here, and give you a chance to win fabulous prizes worth more than $20,000, including the grand prize of a ride for two in Chopper 10.
Active Kids Play Spot
Visit the Columbus Public Health and Recreation and Parks booth for fresh, fun ideas to get kids moving and eating better. Families with young children will love the Rec and Parks kids play area, and you can also learn about the many active options the City of Columbus has to offer.
American Red Cross of Central Ohio Blood Drive
It feels good to help save lives, so join the Red Cross and donate blood. When you stop by to donate, you will receive a mini-physical (temperature, blood pressure and pulse) and receive a free Cedar Point ticket, while supplies last. To donate, you must be at least 17 years old, in good health and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds.
Baby Sleep Safety Display
Sleep is a simple, healthy thing. When it comes to babies, however, it can be deadly if proper steps aren't taken. At the Expo, see why babies are safest when practicing the ABC's of sleep.
Blood Sugar Screenings and Blood Pressure Tests
The Central Ohio Diabetes Association will be on hand conducting blood glucose screenings and blood pressure tests. They also will have a social worker available to talk with people about the emotional issues related to the disease after diabetes has been diagnosed.
Buckeye Mobile Tour
The Buckeye Mobile Tour Powered by Nationwide Insurance is in its fourth year of bringing the Buckeye experience to Ohio State fans, alumni and enthusiasts. During the spring and summer months, the tour brings interactive games and inflatables to events and festivals - like the 10TV Health and Fitness Expo - throughout Ohio.
Step inside the mobile home of the Capital Area Humane Society, a non-profit animal welfare organization founded in 1883 that provides programs and services for animals and people in Central Ohio. Through animal adoptions and admissions; animal-cruelty investigations; safe haven sheltering for pets of families suffering from domestic violence; training classes; and humane education programs, the society seeks to protect those who cannot speak for themselves.
Car Seat Safety, Presented by Central Ohio Ford Dealers
If you have little ones (or expect to in the near future) you'll want to stop by the Central Ohio Ford Dealers' booth for a primer on infant and child car seats. Folks from Columbus Public Health and Safe Kids Central Ohio will show you how to properly install child-safety seats - and you can enter to win a free car seat, too.

Hockey with Columbus Recreation and Parks
Want to play hockey like the pros? Then stop by Columbus Recreation and Parks' area to learn the basics of hockey and register to win equipment and a $25 gift certificate to Hockey Stop. You can also enter to win a Recreation and Parks All City Fitness Pass good for one year (a $75 value).
Stop by the Kids ID booth, operated by the Franklin County Sheriff's Department, for a free photo ID of your child that includes the vital statistics you and law enforcement will need in case of an emergency.
Neighborhood Pride Bicycle Safety Course
Kids can have fun exploring why safety's always first when they take a spin on the bicycle safety course - part of the City of Columbus' Neighborhood Pride program - at this year's Expo. The course incorporates real-world traffic signs and laws in a child-friendly way to ensure kids have fun while they learn.
Ohio Fresh Foods Corridor Produce
Along U.S. Route 23 there are a plethora of farmers markets, places to pick your own fruits and vegetables, and restaurants specializing local foods. Learn all about these destinations from the Pickaway County farmers who created the corridor initiative with the idea of helping people experience a connection with farm-fresh foods.
Mobile Mammography and Bone Density Unit
These two critical screenings for women over 40 will be available at the Expo on Saturday and Sunday, when the OhioHealth unit visits from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. outside the Convention Center's north turnaround off of Goodale Blvd. Mammograms are recommended beginning at age 40 and you don't need a prescription to get yours at the Expo, just an appointment. Bone density testing (prescription needed) is recommended for post-menopausal women over age 50. Most major health insurance plans cover these exams. However, patients may be responsible for a portion of exam fees. Call (614) 566-1111 or (877) 566-1112 to schedule your mammography and bone density appointments with OhioHealth's mobile testing unit.
Men may need regular prostate examinations after conferring with qualified medical professionals. This year at the Expo, men can receive free private physical examinations and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screenings organized by the non-profit Central Ohio Men Against Prostate Cancer. Doctors will contact each participant to review their scores at the Expo.

Senior Zone, Presented by the National Council on Aging
Stop by this area of the exhibition floor for products, exhibitors and experts geared specifically toward seniors. The Senior Zone is sponsored by the National Council on Aging, the nation's leading nonprofit service and advocacy organization representing older adults and the community organizations that serve them.
Members of the governing body of American gymnastics will be on hand to help kids with flexibility exercises. Boys and girls can also participate in gymnastics activities and look on as team members demonstrate skills and exercises.
