Emma Stone and Jonah Hill Offered Roles in GHOSTBUSTERS 3?
BWW hasn't heard much on the GHOSTBUSTERS 3 front since we reported last December that Dan Aykroyd was making headway toward production. At that time, though, frustrations still remained that Bill Murray had not signed on for the movie.
Now, SchmoesKnow.com writes that Jonah Hill and Emma Stone (who appeared together in Superbad) are rumored to have been offered the roles of 'Jeremy' and 'Anna' in GHOSTBUSTERS 3.
The site speculates that the characters could be "the son and/or daughter of one or two of the original members of the team and will be picking up where their fathers left off."
With potential offers on the table, Sony is likely getting closer to giving the third GHOSTBUSTERS film the go-ahead. BWW will let you know more when we do!
Stone's upcoming projects include Birdman, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Magic in the Moonlight. Past big screen credits include The Croods, Gangster Squad, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Help, Crazy, Stupid, Love., Easy A, Zombieland and Superbad.
Hill will next appear on screen in The Wolf of Wall Street, True Story, The LEGO Movie, How to Train Your Dragon 2, 22 Jump Street and Good Time Gang. He has also starred in This Is the End, 21 Jump Street, Moneyball, Get Him to the Greek, The Invention of Lying, Funny People, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Superbad, Knocked Up and more.
