Jesse Peyronel, WALKING DEAD Producers to Adapt SHELTERED Comic for the Big Screen

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Circle of Confusion (The Walking Dead) and Jesse Peyronel (Dracula, Siren) are joining forces to adapt the Image Comics series SHELTERED for the big screen.

Read the original report here.

SHELTERED, which is described by Image as "A Pre-Apocalyptic Tale", centers on a survivalist community in the Pacific Northwest that believes "an imminent volcanic eruption is about to make the U.S. uninhabitable for years." In the midst of this, a group of teenagers stages a coup d'etat, which catches the adult leaders of the compound off guard. The two groups continue to feud throughout the series.

Peyronel will write and direct the project. He has written for NBC's TV series Dracula and is working on USA's upcoming series Dig. His writing and directing debut was with the movie Siren last year.

SHELTERED is aiming to begin production this year.
