Theatre Memphis to Welcome Designer Kathryn Greeley for Black Tie Evening, 5/16

A special black tie evening has been planned for May 16, 2014 at Theatre Memphis as a fundraising event. Nationally known interior designer Kathryn Greeley will speak referencing her book The Collected Tabletop: Inspirations for Creative Entertaining and will display an example of her skills along with Memphis designers. The vignette displays will be only part of the offerings with an open bar, an "on stage" dinner prepared by Chef Felicia Willett of Felicia Suzanne's restaurant along with a silent auction of high end objects and selective cabaret entertainment by Theatre Memphis performers. Attendees will also receive an autographed copy of Greeley's book. The festivities begin at 6:30pm. Tickets are available by calling 901.682.8323 and are $225 per person or $400 per couple. A $30 general admission ticket is available for open bar cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and vignette viewing only and will not include the featured dinner or an autographed book. The general admission part of the evening will be 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Books can be purchased that evening for $45. All tickets are available by calling 901.682.8323.

Theatre Memphis Executive Producer Debbie Litch says this kind of event is a great way to support Theatre Memphis in a unique way. "We always try to stay true to our mission in the performing arts and by combining some great entertainment with the displays and discussion about culture and entertaining I think we have an event that will be great fun and different, too," Litch says. "Kathryn's attention to detail and creative eye have been very influential in her designs. Her unique ideas ensure that events stand out in the memories of those in attendance as extraordinary and unforgettable experiences. And of course Felicia's menu will be outstanding."
