Kirsten Reynolds: FRAGMENTS Opens Today at Fernando Luis Alvarez Gallery

Stamford, CT -- Kirsten Reynolds: Fragments will open at the Fernando Luis Alvarez Gallery, located at 96 Bedford Street, Stamford, Conn., today, February 7, 2014 with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m.

Kirsten Reynolds creates theatrical site-specific installations that ponder the line between creation and destruction. Her most recent installation, Structo, went up at the Fernando Luis Alvarez gallery on November 15, 2013. In a final historic moment for the exhibition, the gallery has asked the artist to cut her installation into smaller pieces-- something she has never done before with her work-- which will then be signed and dated.

Reynolds has exhibited her installations in numerous museums and galleries including the Currier Museum of Art, Islip Museum of Art, DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, ArtSpace New Haven, and The Vox Populi in Philadelphia.
