Everyone's favorite TV family will be singing and dancing their way across the stage this summer when Happy Days - The Musical opens at The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, the area's only year-round producing theatre.

Goodbye gray skies, hello blue! Happy Days are here again with Richie, Potsie, Ralph Malph, and the unforgettable "king of cool" Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli. Based on the hit Paramount Pictures television series, Happy Days, reintroduces one of America's best loved families, the Cunninghams -- yes, Howard, Marion and Joanie are here too -- to a whole new generation. The famed drive-in malt shop and number one hangout, Arnold's, is in danger of demolition. So the gang teams up to save it with a dance contest and a TV-worthy wrestling match. Even Pinky Tuscadero, Fonzie's childhood sweetheart, returns to help and -- lo and behold! -- they rekindle their old flame. This perfectly family friendly musical will have you rockin' and rollin' all week long!

The musical first debuted at the Falcon Theatre in Burbank, California before it was refined and presented at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddum, Connecticut in 2007 and 2008. It was then followed by a production in New Jersey at the Papermill Playhouse before skipping a Broadway run and going out on a national tour. Since then, Happy Days - The Musical has been a part of regional and community theatre seasons across the country.

One theatre critic even said, "If you're going to make a stage musical out of a television show, Happy Days is not a bad choice."

Happy Days first became a part of our entertainment culture as a television series that ran for eleven seasons from 1974 until 1982. During its run, it was one of the highest rated shows of the 70's, starring Ron Howard, Marion Ross, Tom Bosley, Scott Baio, and Henry Winkler as "The Fonz."

Way Off Broadway's production has a cast that includes Dino P. Coppa, Sr. as Arnold, Dylan Gibb as Chachi, Michael Hudson as Richie, Dianna Jennings as Marion Cunningham, Jacob R. Keith as Ralph, Pete Meyers as Howard Cunningham, Owen Raynor as Potsie, Leah Senseney as Joanie, Tori Weaver as Pinky Tuscadero, Megan E. West as Lori Beth, and Joseph Waeyaert as the cool kid himself, Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli. Joining them will be Stephanie Clark, Brittany Grove, Toby Lynch, and Michael Meyers, all making their WOB debut.

The stage version was adapted from the television show by its creator, Garry Marshall, who wrote the book, with Paul Williams composing the music and lyrics. The production is under the direction of Bill Kiska, Way Off Broadway's Executive Producer, with choreography by Dee Buchanan, and music direction by Jordan B. Stocksdale.

Happy Days - The Musical runs from June 23 - August 19, 2017, with performances every Friday and Saturday evening, and matinees on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday of each month.

Tickets on a Friday evening or one of the Sunday matinees are $45, with Saturday evening tickets being $48. Tickets may be purchased by contacting the Box Office at (301) 662-6600.
