Stuart Lightbody in DEVILISH

Just back from an international tour including Brighton Fringe, Prague Fringe and Fringe World Perth where it was nominated for the Theatre Award, DEVILISH comes to the Alexander Bar and Café's Upstairs Theatre. Written by Stuart Lightbody and Tara Notcutt, with the show's mystifying sleight of hand illusions performed by Lightbody under Notcutt's direction, the hour-long show will have six performances starting June 8.

They say that the greatest trick that the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he does not exist. Stuart Lightbody remains unconvinced. From the creators of ILLUSIVE, which won a Standard Bank Ovation Award at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown and the Creative Award at the Prague Fringe Festival, comes a diabolical mix of sleight of hand artistry and psychological illusion filled with secrets and confessions. Whether you have danced with the devil in the pale moonlight or just want to flirt with something wicked, it is time to get DEVILISH with Stuart: he has a story to tell...

DEVILISH runs until 13 June at the Alexander Upstairs Theatre. Tickets ranging from R80 - R120 can be booked online at the Alexander Bar website or purchased in person at the bar at any time during its regular opening hours. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Alexander Bar & Café is situated at 76 Strand Street in the Cape Town city centre and can be followed on Facebook and Twitter.
