Poster Revealed For Woody Allen's BLUE JASMINEThe first poster for Woody Allen's new comedy BLUE JASMINE has at long last been revealed - and it's a beauty!

Purportedly a musing on themes from Tennessee Williams's A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE centering on a woman dealing with a mid-life existential crisis, the new USA-set, bi-coastal feature film from the multi-Academy Award-winning Allen stars Oscar winner Cate Blanchett.

Along with Blanchett, the star-studded cast also includes Alec Baldwin, Bobby Cannavale, Louis C.K., Peter Sarsgaard, Sally Hawkins, Michael Stuhlbarg, Andrew Dice Clay, Tammy Blanchard and more.

The official synopsis is as follows: "After everything in her life falls to pieces, including her marriage to wealthy businessman Hal (Alec Baldwin), elegant New York socialite Jasmine (Cate Blanchett), moves into her sister Ginger's (Sally Hawkins) modest apartment in San Francisco to try to pull herself back together again."

Further plot details are scarce at this time, but a trailer should be out soon to clue us in on what more to expect from the storyline.

Of course, Allen took home a well-earned Best Original Screenplay Oscar for MIDNIGHT IN PARIS just two years ago, so it will certainly be worth the wait to see this new female-led follow-up (coming after last year's enjoyably pleasant but tepidly received TO ROME WITH LOVE).

BLUE JASMINE will be released nationwide on July 26.
