From Hawkeye Pierce on M*A*S*H to Arnold Vinick on The West Wing, Alan Alda has been a staple on American television for more than four decades, earning 32 Emmy nominations and six Emmy and Golden Globe awards.

Well known for California Suite, The Four Seasons and other movies, he was nominated for an Academy Award for The Aviator.

The New Jersey Speakers Series, presented by Fairleigh Dickinson University, invites you to experience the ultimate in cultural engagement: seven evenings of diverse ideas and thought-provoking perspectives on a broad range of issues, from some of the best and brightest minds of our time. Available as a subscription package only, the Thursday evening series, held October through April, presents the world up close in memorable events guaranteed to enlighten and inform. Each lecture includes a spirited question-and-answer period.
