It's getting longer! The Accidental Pervert - the hilarious, autobiographical no-holds-barred play about one man's obsessive love of pornography has extended its off-Broadway run for an incredible eighth time, starting September 20th and running through December 7th, 2013.

Museum of the Moving Image, working with a longtime Museum member, will present a rare big-screen showing of the 2007 Western The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, starring Brad Pitt, Casey Affleck, Sam Rockwell, and Sam Shepard, with director Andrew Dominik in person.

Coming Up This Week in Theatre - 12/7/2013Second Stage Closes LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE - 12/8/2013

Second Stage begins previews for its production of Little Miss Sunshine tonight at 7pm. This new musical is based on the film of the same name by Michael Arndt. It was adapted for the stage by James Lapine, who wrote the book, and William Finn, who wrote the lyrics and music. Lapine and Finn also worked together on The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Falsettos. Little Miss Sunshine will run until Dec 8.

It was announced today that the Broadway production of Shakespeare's timeless love story ROMEO AND JULIET, starring international film star Orlando Bloom in his Broadway debut opposite two-time Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad, will play two weeks past its originally announced 14-week limited Broadway engagement - with a final performance set for Sunday, December 8, 2013, after 27 previews and 93 regular performances at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street).

Signature Theatre presents the World Premiere of CHERI, conceived, directed and choreographed by Martha Clarke, now playing a limited six-week run through Sunday, December 29. The production began preview performances on November 19 and opening night is December 8 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).
